How the Abortion Movement Has Become More Radical Post-Roe v. Wade

January 28, 2023

GUEST: COLLEEN TRONSON, Executive Director, Metro Women’s Center

Americans like to think of our nation and people as “exceptional”, providing an example of goodness, charity, even Christianity, to the rest of the world. There is some truth to this. America has been immeasurably blessed in resources and liberties and has spread innovation and freedom across the world.

But if we are honest, this nation has also become perhaps the greatest consumer and exporter of moral wickedness, such as sexual immorality in its many forms and the murder of pre-born children.

Consider the 1973 Supreme Court decision called Roe v. Wade that led to abortion—the intentional murder of pre-born human beings—becoming legal in this country. A mind-numbing 63 million pre-born babies have been killed since then. That is nearly 20% of the current population of the United States.

No matter how it’s rationalized—“women’s health care”, “my body, my choice”, “reproductive rights”—the reality is that, every day, pregnant women enter hospitals and clinics where abortionists kill or dismember and extract pre-born human beings.

The Bible says about the pre-born child: “For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:13-14).

There was great celebration by those who oppose abortion when Roe v. Wade was overturned in the summer of 2022. But alas, Satan never relents in fomenting sin and evil in the hearts of humans. With abortion now being a matter for each state to decide, extreme bills are being pushed through state legislatures that remove almost all limits on abortion. Our home state of Minnesota is currently passing one of the most radical abortion bills in the country.

Colleen Tronson, executive director of Metro Women’s Center in Minnesota, joins us on The Christian Worldview to discuss how the abortion landscape is changing, the rise of the abortion pill, and how Christians can get involved to save lives and proclaim the hope of the gospel.

GUEST: PETER McCULLOUGH, MD MPH, cardiologist and author, The Courage to Face COVID-19 In early 2020, news reports began to emerge of a new virus from China spreading across the globe called COVID-19. Carried across the ocean via airline passengers, Americans began to catch the respiratory virus with a small percentage even dying of complications. Fear and panic spread even faster than the virus. Would this be the next black plague, which killed 30% to 60% of all Europeans?Medical authorities like the CDC, NIH, and WHO recommended a near-shutdown of society and federal, state, and local governments implemented mandatory masking, physical distancing, closures of businesses, schools, and churches, strictures on travel, and much more. At first we were told to stay put for “15 days to stop the spread”…which turned into more than two years of unprecedented restrictions.2020 just happened (wink, wink) to be a presidential election year. President Donald Trump had led the country to energy independence and a robust economy and looked the heavy favorite to win a second term. But the hysteria created over COVID-19 narrowed the focus of the country to only one issue—“save me from COVID” despite the fact that a small percentage of people who contracted COVID actually died from it.Voting regulations were slackened to allow people to vote early and by mail so there wouldn’t be crowding of the polls on election day. Career politician Joe Biden, who hardly campaigned due to fear of COVID, unbelievably (in the literal sense of the word) garnered 81 million votes, the most of any president in history. In late 2020, an experimental-use COVID vaccine was quickly rolled out. This was a new kind of vaccine, not manufactured from a dead virus as usual, but with an mRNA genetic substance that had never been used on the general public. No worries though—videos and photos of public officials and celebrities rolling up their sleeve to receive the shot were meant to assure the public that “the science” had saved us again. The marketing campaign for all Americans to get the shot was relentless. Everyone, and I mean everyone, even those who were not in “susceptible demographics” (old or underlying health problems) were told that getting the vaccine would keep you from getting or transmitting the virus (a lie). Professing Christians like NIH director Francis Collins and Ed Stetzer shamed and guilted Christians that getting the vaccine was about “loving your neighbor”. In the end, 80% of Americans received at least one dose of the vaccine.More could be said, much more actually, but here we are now in early 2023, two years after the release of the vaccine, and chilling reports and videos are surfacing daily of the vaccinated falling over and dying suddenly, typically from cardiac arrest. Suppressed by the media and dismissed by authorities as “disinformation”, the occurrences are indisputable that something has gone terribly wrong.Peter McCullough, MD MPH is our guest today on The Christian Worldview to discuss if the COVID vaccine is causing sudden and excessive deaths. He is a highly respected cardiologist who developed an early treatment protocol for COVID that has saved tens of thousands of lives (including my own parents). For that, and now his stand against the vaccine, Dr. McCullough has been vilified and ostracized by the mainstream medical community.-----------------Related Resources:The Courage to Face COVID by John Leake and Peter McCullough, MD MPH

GUEST: ANDREW DeBARTOLO, Director of Operations, Liberty Coalition CanadaWhat emerged as the sexual revolution in the mid-1960s in America—the mainstreaming of heterosexual sex and cohabitation outside marriage, unbiblical divorce leading to adulterous remarriage, and pornography—has, this century, descended even further into a depravity revolution. The apostle Paul in Romans 1 describes the judgment of God “giving over” those who “suppress the truth in unrighteousness” in three successive stages of decline—from “impure” heterosexual immorality (vs. 24-25) to the “degrading passions” of “unnatural” homosexuality (vs. 26-27) to “a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper” (vs. 28-32).What is “not proper” is for men scantily dressed as women to sexually dance in front of young children or for government elementary school teachers to approvingly teach students about homosexuality and transgenderism without their parents knowledge or for doctors and hospitals to perform irreversible and harmful surgeries on the sexual organs of children. That those at the highest levels of governing authority consider this “gender affirming care” further explains the wickedness that all Democrats in the US House, except one, voted against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which will require that babies who survive an abortion receive life-saving medical treatment. In other words, the Democrats voted to let babies die without help. Pause and mourn the free fall into heartless murder and depravity to which our people have descended. This weekend in part 2, Andrew DeBartolo of Liberty Coalition Canada will again join us to discuss “How Christians Should Respond to the Depravity Revolution”. Because it has not only infected every corner of society but it has broken into the church as well.-----------------------How Christians Should Respond to the Depravity Revolution – Part 1Related Resource for a donation of any amount:In His Image DVDUpcoming Event:Biblical Sexuality Sunday: On Sunday, January 15, 2023, Liberty Coalition is again encouraging pastors around the world to preach a message on Biblical Sexuality. GUEST: ANDREW DeBARTOLO, Director of Operations, Liberty Coalition CanadaFrom the beginning, men and women have always resisted God’s design for marriage, sex, and gender.God designed marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman…and man soon took multiple wives. God designed sex for procreation and unity within one man one woman marriage…and man soon engaged in prostitution, adultery, fornication, homosexuality, and other reprobation. God created each person either male or female…and man soon desired and dressed to be the opposite.Pre- and extra-marital sex, unbiblical divorce, and abortion were early signs that God’s moral design was being jettisoned in our nation, but now, as Romans 1 describes, a full-blown depravity revolution is rushing headlong toward a zenith. That which Scripture describes as “unnatural” (Romans 1)—homosexuality—has become mainstreamed legally and culturally. Now the same can be said for transgenderism. Only the desperately wicked heart of man knows where he/she will next seek sinful pleasure apart from God.Christians and the church are necessarily caught in the whirlwind of the depravity revolution. We can’t affirm what the Bible clearly calls sin. We love sinners enough to tell them “the wages of sin is death”. We live and work and educate in a system that has chosen the side of God-rejection and persecutes and prosecutes those who don’t “comply”.Why has the depravity revolution become so prominent? Can’t Christians just “stay out of the way”? If not, how should Christians respond to open promotion of it everywhere—from government leaders, in schools, at “drag shows”, with laws, even in churches?Andrew DeBartolo, is a teaching elder at Encounter Church in Ontario and director of operations at Liberty Coalition Canada. He joins us this weekend and next to answer this question and more so Christians and the church are informed and prepared.------------------Related Resource for a donation of any amount:In His Image DVDUpcoming Event:Biblical Sexuality Sunday: On Sunday, January 15, 2023, Liberty Coalition is again encouraging pastors around the world to preach a message on Biblical Sexuality. [This program is a rebroadcast of a previously aired program on January 08, 2022]GUEST: PAUL TWISS, Instructor of Bible Exposition, The Master’s SeminaryMany Christians begin a new year with the goal of reading through the entire Bible. It is an excellent and attainable endeavor, one that will help the believer better understand God and His purposes. Since “all Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Tim. 3:16), the one who reads through the Bible is hearing directly from God on a daily basis! That being said, the Bible is a big book, written by 40 authors on three continents in three languages (Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic) over a span of 1500 years. Grasping how the history, culture, narratives, poetry, and prophecy of the the Old Testament form one cohesive revelation with the gospels, history, culture, letters, and prophecy of the New Testament can be challenging.Which is why we have asked Paul Twiss, pastor and instructor of Bible exposition at The Master’s Seminary, to join us on The Christian Worldview. Paul has created a handful of short videos entitled “Everyday Theologian” to help Christians accurately interpret the various parts of Scripture. We will also discuss the call for pastors to preach on Biblical sexual morality on Sunday, January 15 in light of the new law in Canada that will criminalize those who preach/speak about God’s clear design for sex and gender. Finally, thank you to so many of you who generously supported the ministry of The Christian Worldview at the end of 2022. You embolden us to keep standing firm on God’s Word and the gospel!------------------------ Read Through the Bible Reading Plans-  Everyday Theologian - video series with Paul Twiss.>> Related Programs:- The B-I-B-L-E. This weekend’s program is a NEW program for 2022 and was prepared to focus our attention on the Christ of Christmas. In the left column are resources and ideas for you to use personally with your own families.  The Christian Worldview wishes all of you a memorable and meaningful Christmas.  To God be all Glory!Christmas is upon us. While it’s easy to get distracted by all that competes for our attention—current events and politics, work and school, sports and recreation, travel and material things, even family and church—there is really only one most important issue and that is the person of Jesus Christ and what He has done for mankind.Jesus said, “He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him” (John 3:36).That couldn’t be more clear. Where you spend eternity hinges on whether you place your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.Christmas is the time when Christians remember and celebrate God sending His Son into our world, born of a virgin woman, mighty and holy in word and deed, and loving and sacrificial in offering His perfect life to satisfy God’s wrath and justice for our sins.Today will be a program to think about not Christmas generally, but the Christ of Christmas specifically. We will read God’s word, listen to some music, even do a Christmas quiz, all to appreciate and worship the God/Man, the Lord Jesus Christ. For none of us would have any hope without His “One Solitary Life”.---------------CHRISTMAS RESOURCES for you and your family:QUIZ/POEMS/READINGS:Christmas QuizHistory behind I Heard the Bells on Christmas DayOne Solitary LifeOn Going Home for ChristmasVIDEO:The Gospel | Paul WasherTreasures of the Snow filmThe Legend of the Candy CaneTruce in the Forest short filmHans Brinker film Amazon | YoutubeMUSIC:O Holy Night | Phil WebbThe Messiah | Robert ShawTCW Christmas 2022 (Spotify)

GUEST: MIKE GENDRON, Founder and Evangelist, Proclaiming the Gospel MinistriesIt’s lamentable but not surprising in our God-rejecting world that Christmas has become about everything than what it should be—the incarnation of the Son of God.Yes, Jesus was most likely not born on December 25. Yes, many of our Christian forbears didn’t even celebrate Christ’s birth. And yes, several of the traditions of Christmas, such as trees and mistletoe, are rooted in paganism. That being said, for most Christians, Christmas is a season to celebrate the coming of Jesus Christ into our world and ponder anew the miraculous aspects of God’s redemptive plan, which include Old Testament prophecies, virgin birth, and how God became man. This weekend on The Christian Worldview, Mike Gendron, founder and evangelist with Proclaiming the Gospel Ministries, joins us to to discuss these mind-stretching truths of Christmas and how the Christ of Christmas is for each one of us willing to repent and believe.----------------Related Resource available from Mike Gendron and Proclaiming the Gospel Ministries:The Greatest News Ever Told About the Greatest Gift Ever Given tract

GUEST: CHRIS ANDERSON, hymn writer and author, Theology That Sticks Last week on the program we discussed how Christian music in general and church music in particular has undergone a huge change over the past 50 or 60 years. Whereas for centuries Christians sang Psalms and hymns as a congregation, now the mainstream of Evangelical church music is played and presented in rock concert fashion. This week on the program, we’re going to discuss why this has taken place and how it’s significantly altered the church’s worship service. Then, Chris Anderson, hymn writer and author of Theology That Sticks—The Life-Changing Power of Exceptional Hymns will join us again to explain how churches and individuals need to carefully select music that is sound in doctrine and directs our hearts to worship God.

GUEST: CHRIS ANDERSON, pastor and author, Theology That Sticks“Houston, we have a problem.” That’s a slight misquote version of what an Apollo 13 astronaut said to NASA Mission Control in Houston after an explosion harmed their spacecraft back in 1970.That was a physical, life-threatening problem. But there are even bigger God-dishonoring problems in the Evangelical church today. The preaching of weak or unsound doctrine is one. Another is the message and methodology of music in the church. While music in sound churches over the centuries was mainly congregational singing of Psalms and hymns with or without musical instruments, that all changed over the past 60 years with the introduction of Christian Contemporary Music (CCM). The worldview driving this believes that the form of rock ’n’ roll, soft rock, and rap glorifies God and attracts people to Christianity by simply swapping secular lyrics for Christian lyrics. And yet the result has been compromise. Instead of congregations belting out inspired Psalms or sound hymns, shallow, repetitive, mesmerizing, error-filled songs fill nearly every space in Evangelicalism. The water may have flooded over the dam but our guest this weekend and next will help Christians and churches select “songs, hymns, and spiritual songs” (Ephesians 5) that are sound in theology, honoring to God and edifying for us. His name is Chris Anderson. He’s a former pastor of 25 years and author of several well-known hymns, including “His Robes for Mine”. He is also the author of the new book, Theology That Sticks—The Life-Changing Power of Exceptional Hymns.

** This program was previously aired 11/27/21 but the DVD offer is available again for a short time.GUEST: DR. JERRY NEWCOMBE, producer, The Pilgrims documentaryA small group of biblical Christians known as the the Pilgrims are widely considered to be “the founders of America”.Numbering only about 400-500 souls, they had fled religious persecution in England to settle in Holland. But after ten years there, they decided on another move across the Atlantic Ocean to an unknown land that would become the United States.About 50 Pilgrims were on the first vessel called The Mayflower, arriving in modern-day Cape Cod in Massachusetts in November 1620. One year later in November 1621, after a brutal winter in which many of them died, they celebrated a bountiful harvest with local Indians who had helped them in what has become known as the first Thanksgiving. The Pilgrims and their biblical beliefs which led directly to the principles of the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution 150 years have been mostly forgotten by the majority of our population. “Separation of church and state” is a sacrament of mainstream society today…but it wasn’t to the Pilgrims. They said they came to America “for the glory of God and the advancement of the Christian faith.”Dr. Jerry Newcombe, producer of the documentary film, The Pilgrims, joins us this Thanksgiving weekend on The Christian Worldview to discuss the Pilgrims’ story and what they believed and lived by. For in them we have an example for how we can live in our pilgrimage in a contrary world.

Guest: Cal Beisner, President, The Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation This past week, the U.S. Senate passed a bill, with every Democrat and 12 Republicans voting in favor, that is deceptively called “The Respect for Marriage Act.”In fact, the bill, now sure to be passed by the Democrat-majority U.S. House (before the Republican majority kicks in next year) and then signed by Democrat president Joe Biden, will overturn the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and codify homosexual “marriage” into federal law.But aren’t homosexuals already able to “marry” one another? Yes, but this bill would federalize homosexual “marriage” so states could not establish a contrary law and will be a bulwark should the Supreme Court’s 2015 Obergefell decision be overturned. That case banned any state from denying homosexual “marriages”.But even more sinister is the authority the bill offers to prosecute those individuals and organizations (like Christian schools) who hold to the Biblical one-man one-woman definition of marriage. This sets the stage for far more persecution of truth-tellers than ever before. It may not seem related but the end goal of the United Nation’s COP 27 climate change conference that just concluded in Egypt is the same—to control and command people into compliance to a new world order of God-rejecting values. During the conference, an interfaith delegation held an event at Mt. Sinai (where Moses received the 10 Commandments) called “Returning to Sinai—A Prophetic Call for Climate Justice and Ceremony of Repentance” where they laid out and then smashed their own 10 climate commandments.Jesus said in His Sermon on the Mount, “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you” (Matthew 5:10-12).The whole point of these events is to promote evil and punish those who stand for God’s word. Unless or until the Supreme Court intervenes, it will likely be open season on Christians who stand for Biblical truth.Cal Beisner, president of The Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation, joins us this weekend to examine these issues and how they will impact you.---------------------Related Resources:Global Warming Skepticism for Busy PeopleGlobal Warming DVD
