How Discipline Leads to Godliness

August 17, 2010
“...discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness” (1 Timothy 4:7). “Discipline is what moderns need the most but want the least.” So starts the Introduction to "The Disciplined Life", our Book Club selection for the past two months of June and July. Let’s face it: knowing what to do in our Christian walk is usually not the problem; having the discipline to do the right thing is. Whether it’s restraining our fleshly desires against moral impurity, indulgence, or gluttony, or prioritizing the important things in life over the urgent, discipline is the key character quality of those who represent Christ best. Tune in this weekend to The Christian Worldview to find out why discipline is so important to the Christian life and how you can start developing it in greater measure to the glory of God.

When Culture Hates You by Natasha Crain
