Don't Remove Old Landmarks, Part 1

The Bible mandated specific physical landmarks as roperty borders for the 12 tribes of Israel. To this was attached the solemn warning not to remove a neighbor's landmark. To do so would bring a curse. Other landmarks are physical monuments, such as The Washington Monument in our nation's capital and the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Moreover, pivotal events in history are metaphorical landmarks, such as the abolishing of slavery and the right of women to vote.
Tragically, many Biblical landmarks have been and continue to be destroyed, and their removal is bringing a curse upon America: Removal of prayer and Bible reading in school, the sanctity of the pre-born, of marriage between a man and a woman. What landmarks will be next to go in a culturally chaotic society that mocks God and despises His truth? Christians cannot be bystanders as one Biblical landmark after another is destroyed!

old? Hot? or Lukewarm?
In His last letter to the seven churches of Revelation, Jesus indicted the Church of Laodecia: "I would that you were cold or hot. But because you are lukewam, I will spew you out of my mouth!" Did He mean, as some have said, that it's better to be cold... a sinner or backslider in the world, or hot... an on-fire believer in the church, than to be lukewarm... mediocre, or worse, a hypocrite?
Scripture proves there are no circumstances where God wants anyone to be cold in sin. And while Jesus sharply rebuked hypocrites, calling them serpents and sepulchres, He was not referring to them in the lukewarm category.
So what did He mean by lukewarm? Laodecia's ill-famous aquaduct and her two sister cities' water supply hold the key.
