Jesus chose ordinary fishermen as disciples & they quickly saw that with Him they took in great hauls of fish. But He called them to be fishers of men & when they threw out the Gospel net, they brought in great hauls of souls.
But big game fish must be caught with hook & the right bait. It fights very hard & the fisherman has to give it enough line but hold onto the rod till the fish tires & gives up. It's the same with many unsaved who put up a huge fight, but if we will not let go of the rod, the Word of God, give them some line, they will eventually come in.

Peter's mother-in-law had been seized with a great fever, but when Jesus stepped in the house, He rebuked the fever, and she was healed. Later, He was preaching in this same house, and the place was so packed, there was no way in or out, and "the power of the Lord to heal was present to heal them all." A paralyzed man was carried by his friends on his bed, and when they couldn't get in, they tore off the roof, because they knew the Healer was in the House!We have been authorized to use the Name of Jesus to pray for the sick and empowered by the Holy Spirit to do His works, and He went about healing all that were oppressed of the devil. Wherever His Name is declared and believed, the Healer is in the House!

This is his one and only agenda, and he is actively carrying it out.1 John 3:8 is Jesus' manifesto: "For this purpose was the Son of God manifest, that he might destroy the works of the devil." Jesus was manifest to destroy the destroyer! He came to loose us from the power of sin, bondage, sickness, and torment, and to take back what the devil stole from us!
