War Boots-Gospel of Peace

December 20, 2018

Our God is a dynamic God, who has a plan for the world to know Him. And He wants to use you and I to accomplish His plans, to share His Good News. And in order to use us for His eternal plans in people’s lives, He call us to be actively staying in tune with His Spirit, with His heart for those around us. In other words, God call us to be believers on the move. As we continue our studies in Spiritual Warfare Pastor Jeff Johnson helps us to see the need for wearing the shoes of the Gospel of Peace. And we will see that while the Lord wants to direct our steps, the enemy wants to distract them. Join us as we learn how to walk according to God’s battle plan, as we turn to Ephesians 6 for today’s encouragement in Sound Doctrine.

One of my favorite quotes from Pastor Jeff is that the problem with life is that it is sooo daily. Maybe you have felt that way before. And the same can be said of the spiritual warfare that we encounter as Christians. So when it comes to our response to the raging battle, our rest and strength come from the Lord. He provides both our victory and our hope as we experience increased clashes with the enemy. We pray that the Lord encourages you with our time in the Word today. With that in mind, let’s turn to Ephesians 6 for today’s encouragement in Sound Doctrine.

When it comes to having a sense of confidence in my own works, the Bible offers me little to support that mindset. But when it comes to the righteousness that has been given to me in Christ, it is both sufficient personally as well as a defense against the spiritual attacks of the enemy. Today in our series on spiritual warfare, Pastor Jeff how Jesus is our righteousness from Ephesians. So join us for the message titled, “The Breastplate of Righteousness” with Pastor Jeff Johnson.

The Bible tells us to walk in the Spirit and we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Walking in the flesh comes natural. We don’t have to exert ourselves, it’s a part of our old nature. However, as people who have received a new life in Christ, we also have a new strength or power from the Lord, and a new way to obtain that strength. With Biblical insight and practical examples, Pastor Jeff Johnson shows us how to daily live by wearing the spiritual armor of the breastplate of righteousness. It’s part of the Armor of God series in Ephesians 6. So, if you have your Bible, we encourage you to open up the Word and join us for our message in Sound Doctrine with Pastor Jeff Johnson.

The Christian lives between this world and the unseen world simultaneously. During times of increased spiritual warfare, there are many believers who retreat from the battle. However, in doing so, they leave all the tools and weapons that are given for their victory. In today’s edition of Sound Doctrine, Pastor Jeff Johnson calls us to be more engaged in the battles around us. He helps us to see that the only way upward is onward. It’s the final installment of our study titled, “The Belt of Truth”. So with that in mind, let’s join Pastor Jeff Johnson in Ephesians 6 for today’s study in Sound Doctrine.

The history of those whom God has used in powerful ways shows that the one thing  they all had in common was the fact that they maintained their time in the Word of God. God’s Word gave them courage. The Word caused believers to see clearly when others followed the world. And the Word of God was the agent of change by God’s Spirit in countless people’s lives as believers faithfully shared it with others. As we resume our study of Sound Doctrine on the belt of truth Pastor Jeff Johnson reminds us that it is the very truth that will hold all things together in our lives as we maintain a constant balanced diet of God’s Word in our lives. With more on that, let’s join Pastor Jeff in Ephesians 6 for today’s equipping in Sound Doctrine.

When it comes to walking in God’s Spirit, it is an either/or proposition. We will either walk in the Spirit and be heavenly minded, or we will revert to the default of walking in the flesh, which comes naturally. As we walk in light of God’s Word His Spirit enables us to be heavenly minded and ready to stand in the day of spiritual conflict with God’s Word implanted in our hearts. So with our study on the Belt of Truth, join us in Ephesians 6 for today’s encouragement in Sound Doctrine, with Pastor Jeff Johnson.

The Bible says that God always leads us in triumph in Christ. So when it comes to practically experiencing the victory that Jesus won positionally for the believer, how are we to obtain it? As we make our way through our series on Spiritual Warfare, we come to a critical element given to every believer: The armor of God. In today’s study Pastor Jeff Johnson shows you and I how we are to live as a soldier in God’s armor and strength to insure success against the enemy. So join us as we continue our study in Ephesians 6 for today’s encouragement in Sound Doctrine.

It’s been said that all our trials are Father-filtered, meaning that the enemy can’t touch you or I unless God gives him permission. That includes permission for how long and how much he is allowed. Satan can never touch a child of God without God’s permission. So when we go through challenges wearing God’s armor, we can know that it is God-allowed and He will provide a way of escape so we are able to bear it. With more on how God protects us with His armor, let’s join Pastor Jeff in Ephesians 6 for our study titled, “God’s Armor” in Sound Doctrine.

When it comes to looking forward to the imminent return of Jesus Christ, we often forget that the Holy Spirit will prepare us to be ready for His coming; to know the description of the times we are living in, to have our lives ready for when He comes back for us. With this kind of help in mind, it begs the question: How much are we listening and regarding the leading, teaching, and direction of the Holy Spirit in our lives? As a part of our new series titled, “God’s Armor” Pastor Jeff Johnson pinpoints some key areas that believers leave unattended as it relates to the Holy Spirit and God’s Armor. So with open Bible, if possible, join us in Ephesians 6 for today’s encouragement in Sound Doctrine.
