December 11, 2014
As we bring our study of Revelation to a close, we'll learn the imporatnce of the last words of Jesus.  Although we should be encouraged by His soon return, we should also be warned to be living a life that is sober and ready for when He comes.

Our verse-by-verse journey through Revelation has been rich and exciting.  We've studied the future events of the end times, both good and bad.  Today we'll begin to bring our journey to a close, and Pastor Jeff will once again remind us that we are closer than ever to the end of time.

Revelation 22:17 reads "And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come.  Whoever desires let him take the water of life freely."  Because of God's Love toward us, we can freely be forgiven of all sins.  Today Pastor Jeff talks about this powerful verse in the conclusion of a message called "This Is The End, Part 1."

The beauty of the Cross is that all sins can be forgiven and forgotten.  There is not 1 sin that Christ didn't endure for mankind.  The only thing required of us is to simply believe and follow Jesus.  Today Pastor Jeff expounds on the incredible invitation of Revelation 22:17 which invites all to freely come and have their sins forgiven.

God is consistently speaking to believers.  If we are obedient to His voice, we walk towards the light and things become clear.  But if we are disobedient, we walk away from the light and will soon find ourselves in darkness and confusion.  Today on Sound Doctrine we'll talk about the importance of trusting God and submitting to The Holy Spirit in these Last Days.

Peter says in his epistle that "the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night" and to be "diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless."  We don't know the day or hour of the return of Christ, but we do know the seasons.  And in our day we can clearly see that we are closer than ever to the return of Christ.

The return of Jesus is immanent.  Jesus warns of His quick return 3 times alone in Revelation 22.  This should motivate all believers to live in expectancy because no man knows the hour of His return.

It's been said that 10 out of 10 people will die.  But did you know that some will escape death?  We don't know when, but we do know that Jesus Christ will snatch up Christians to Heaven.  This is commonly known as the rapture of the Church.  But weather it happens in our lifetime or not, one fact stands true...we will one day be face to face with our Creator.  Are you prepared?  Listen as we begin a study in Revelation 22 called "Behold I Come Quickly."

God is eternal and timeless.  He has always been, and always will be.  He is not bound by anything and what He says will happen.  Today we'll continue our study in Revelation chapter 22 and learn that we could trust every word of God, becaue He is the One who hold everything in His hands.

On this special Thanksgiving edition of Sound Doctrine, we'll bring you the conclusion of a message called "Christ & Hanukkah."  It was recorded last year in the unique event when the first day of Hanukkah was the same day of Thanksgiving.  But no matter what day it is, everyday should be a thankful day if you're a child of God.
