The difference between Martha and Mary is that Martha’s serving caused her to be distracted, while Mary’s sitting at the feet of Jesus helped her to be focused. While we determine to sit at the feet of Jesus, we will increase our ability to focus on the things that God wants to do in our lives for His glory and our blessing. As we conclude our study on the Sword of the Spirit - Part 1, Pastor Jeff helps us to see which camp we find ourselves in, and how to cultivate a loving, receiving disposition with Jesus so that His word becomes our delight.
