The Christian lives between this world and the unseen world simultaneously. During times of increased spiritual warfare, there are many believers who retreat from the battle. However, in doing so, they leave all the tools and weapons that are given for their victory. When it comes to walking in God’s Spirit, it is an either/or proposition. We will either walk in the Spirit and be heavenly minded, or we will revert to the default of walking in the flesh, which comes naturally. It’s been said that all our trials are Father-filtered, meaning that the enemy can’t touch you or I unless God gives him permission. That includes permission for how long and how much he is allowed. Satan can never touch a child of God without God’s permission. So when we go through challenges wearing God’s armor, we can know that it is God-allowed and He will provide a way of escape so we are able to bear it.
