Purpose of the Church - Part 1
God wants to reproduce His Son through the believers in the church. That is Christ-likeness, the result of the body of Jesus Christ being built up to look like Jesus and act like Jesus. However when we don’t function with the gifts God has given to us and allow HIs Word to build us up, we don’t experience the unity nor the maturity He intends. The result is that the church is only a shadow of what God intends for her to be. On today’s edition of Sound Doctrine Pastor Jeff Johnson gives us more reasons why Jesus has created the church.
