Our Inheritance Part 2

Pastor Jeff Johnson is our Bible teacher and today opens up Joshua chapter thirteen. After the conquering of the land, it’s time now for the possessing of the land. And Joshua would be tasked with dividing up the inheritance. Pastor Jeff will relate this to the possession of our inheritance and how we can experience victory over our flesh.

We’ll also point out how victory can be experienced.

Today on Sound Doctrine we’ll tell you about the longest day in world history, when the sun stood still. God would fight for Israel on this day, and they would be victorious.

Throughout Scripture we read time and time again how God fights for His people, often in amazing ways. And this is a classic example of that in Joshua chapter 10. The Lord would use hailstones and more daylight to lead His people to victory. The great news is, God will fight for you too, in those battles you face in life.

One of the great things about being a Christian is having the confidence that God has a plan for everything that comes our way in life. So we have every reason to trust Him. We’ll be reminded on today’s broadcast that having the right perspective makes all the difference in how we respond to adversity.
