Love Never Changes Part 1

We hear a lot about love these days, and while many view it merely as a warm gushy feeling that comes and goes on a moment’s notice, the Bible portrays it in a far different light! Today on Sound Doctrine we go deeper into First John chapter two, and deal with a couple of verses that speak volumes about God’s love and how it motivates us to obey His commands and steer clear of sin.

We’re entering the courtroom, as we turn together to First John chapter two! The accuser is satan, and our advocate is Jesus! As we stand before the judge guilty as could be, Jesus is willing to take the punishment we rightly deserve, and save us from an eternity apart from God. Such amazing grace will leave us saying today, “Hallelujah What a Savior!”

Pastor Jeff Johnson is making his way through First John. We’ll begin chapter two today which speaks about experiencing the light of God and how to deal with sin. We hope and pray that by the end of our time together you’ll say along with us, “Hallelujah What a Savior!”

To be living in sin and think everything is just find in your relationship with God is the ultimate deception! And very sadly that would describe a good number of people today! If that’s you, be sure to listen to this! We’ll learn the way out in First John chapter one, verses 8-10.

The Bible describes satan as the father of lies and for good reason. He’s very good at deceiving people, and we’ll unveil one of his greatest deceptions today on Sound Doctrine. It’s the thinking that everything is ok in your relationship with God while you’re living in unrepentant sin!

We’re about to continue our look at the book of Daniel here on Sound Doctrine. Glad you could join us. Pastor Jeff Johnson will be with us momentarily. Story tellers and movie makers love to build up to a Grand Finale. And that’s really what we find in this final chapter of Daniel. God tells us the end of the story, so we’re not left to wonder, and we can be prepared. And it is a great ending for those who have trusted in Christ.
