Koinonia Sharing His Love, Part 2

August 14, 2015
Jesus said, “What profit is it if you only love those who love you, for even the Pharisees do that.” This radical challenge from 2,000 years ago is still applicable today. We need help from the Holy Spirit to love the unlovable. Pastor Jeff is teaching the last chapter and verses of Galatians, and we are learning about Paul's gratitude for the churches who loved on him. These verses should challenge us to see if we are sharing the love of Christ in our own life. Stay tuned for “Koinonia Sharing His Love.”

Welcome to SDR. Today, Pastor Jeff starts a series in Galatians called, “Koinonia-Sharing His Love.” Jesus said the world would know that we are His disciples by our love. Loving others is the principal that Jesus taught when He was on earth. All the Law and commandments are hinged on Love. Pastor Jeff teaches about the local church's relationship with the Apostle Paul and how they showed their love toward him. Stay tuned for part one of "Sharing in His Love!"

Welcome to SDR with Jeff Johnson Senior Pastor of CCD. Have you ever heard the phrase, “No man is an island?” Well it's true. As a living body, we all affect each other. When one hurts, the whole body hurts.  We have all been given gifts that are for the purpose of blessing and ministering to the whole body of Christ. Pastor Jeff gives us insight to the Apostle Paul’s exhortation to bare with each other as we go through life together. Join Pastor Jeff for the conclusion of “Bare One Another’s Burdens.”

Welcome to a Tuesday edition of SDR. The church is one giant organism. Christ is the head and the rest of us are members of one body. When we are injured physically, our body responds to supply aid and treat that hurt body part. We are exhorted by the Apostle Paul to do the same thing for each other as Christians. Today Pastor Jeff teaches from the book of Galatians chapter 6 in a new series called, “Bare One Another’s Burdens.”

Welcome to Monday's edition of SDR. We have been in the series, “Caring for Casualties.” You know there’s an unfortunate time when the church has to cut someone off from the body of Christ, so they can feel the shame of their sin. The purpose for this is not condemnation but restoration. Pastor Jeff gives insight to the methods God sometimes uses to deal with an unrepentant person. Tune in for the conclusion of “Caring for Casualties.”

Welcome to SDR. The body of Christ is one unit, with Christ as the commander and chief. When one member is injured, the whole body is affected. So how do we respond to an injury from sin? Do we simply tell the body everything is going to be all right and do nothing about it? Well, when our physical body gets hurt we tend to it and seek medical attention. This should be the same response we have to those who have fallen into sin. Pastor Jeff gives insight on how to tend to injured members of the church. Stay tuned for the second half of, “Caring for Casualties.”

Welcome to SDR with Jeff Johnson. We are continuing in a chapter-by-chapter and verse-by-verse study through the book of Galatians. As we come to chapter 6, Pastor Jeff begins a new series called, “Caring for Casualties.” In this series we will receive instruction on dealing with someone who has fallen into sin, how we are to exhort them, and when it's time to cut them off from fellowship. Pastor Jeff gives us insight on these issues and the church's responsibilities to those who have fallen. Find out more in the series, “Caring for Casualties.”

Thanks for joining us on Wednesday's edition of SDR. We have been learning valuable lessons for anyone who is in the ministry. If you are a Christian then you are in the ministry, and these lessons apply to you. There are principals that God's Word commands us to do. But for many they are not obeyed, and this disobedience ultimately hurts us. Stay tuned for the conclusion of the 12 part series, To All God's Servants.

Welcome to SDR. You know there are many different churches throughout the world and the teachings of the Bible unite us. But when churches begin to change essential truths of God's Word, we must break fellowship from them because some things are nonnegotiable. Join Pastor Jeff as he teaches through the series, To All God's Servants.

Welcome to a new week on SDR. We have been going through a very important series that applies to everyone who claims to be a Christian. Every Christian has a gift and calling upon their lives, and some are called to be pastors, but with this calling comes great responsibility, because Pastors are held accountable to God for things they teach the church. We will hear more about this as Pastor Jeff continues in the series called, To All God's Servants.

Thanks for joining us on Friday’s edition of SDR.  When Jesus ministered in the region of his hometown, He always placed the needs of the people before His own. He was moved with compassion and fed them, healed them and exhorted them. He is the example of a servant in ministry, and how to conduct ourselves in the body of Christ. The needs of the people should always come before our own, especially the spiritually sick. Join Pastor Jeff as he continues the series, To All God's Servants.
