Though mankind has accomplished great things in this world, there is still a lack, a void in his life. And instead of recognizing the void and the remedy in Jesus Christ, the natural man instead reinforces the rebellious heart against God all the while the Lord is reaching out to Him in love. Paul in Ephesians uses this black background of the unbeliever to remind Christians that we don’t follow those ways when it comes to our new life in Christ.
