Proverbs 16:18 says that Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. There are times in our lives with Jesus when we can become so distant from God that we begin to think that the blessings we encounter come from our hands instead of our loving Father’s. In today’s installment of Sound Doctrine Pastor Jeff Johnson reminds us of the purpose of God’s work for us, in us, and through us. And that the title for our study as well.  And when we allow God to work in our lives, He keeps us from that destructive behavior which leads us away from Him.
