It’s been well said, “In whatever a man does without God He must fail miserably or succeed more miserably.” Yet too often the follower of God takes his cues from the world and not the Lord. And that’s a problem as we’ll hear on today’s Sound Doctrine with pastor Jeff Johnson.

Then we’re to honor, love and respect them.

You’ve heard the saying, “Pick your battles!” It’s shorthand for there are some battles you ought not to be fighting. Traditions can be valuable if there’s real meaning infused in them. But mere religion can never take away sins or give the sinner a share in eternity. We need a Savior for that. And we have one in Jesus! That’s something to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving Day! As we near the end of our studies in Second Chronicles we’ll get a glimpse of Jesus pictured in the Passover.

Sin is man’s greatest problem. So, no matter what kind of religion a man has, if it cannot deal with sin, ultimately it’s of no value. It’s why, “Nothing but the blood of Jesus” is such a favorite hymn. It reminds us how our sin can be washed away. And we’ll get another reminder today on Sound Doctrine with pastor Jeff Johnson. Sin… it’s deadly, yet too many treat it as if it’s no big deal, even Christians. It’s a grave error. The whole world is running over the cliff of sin but we must run in the opposite direction – despite the ridicule. We’ll get some much-needed encouragement to that end on today’s Sound Doctrine with pastor Jeff Johnson.

In making our way through Second Chronicles we’ve come to the last of the five revivals recorded in this book. And as we pick up in chapter thirty-four we learn this revival touches just about everyone.
