Daniel's 70 Weeks Part 1a

Are you ready to get into some amazing prophecy? As we continue through the book of Daniel on Sound Doctrine, we come to the 70 weeks of Daniel. To some this is rather confusing, but today pastor Jeff Johnson will break it all down for us, and set out to help us understand it. By the end of our time together I think you’ll be left amazed by how God fulfills His prophetic Word with precision and accuracy.

As we again open chapter 24 on the surface it appears as just an incredible love story on how Isaac and Rebekah would meet and eventually marry. But dig a little deeper and you’ll see a brilliant picture of the entire Godhead, and how the Lord works in our lives.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. And today on Sound Doctrine we will bring you one of the most beautiful pictures in all the Old Testament. Pastor Jeff Johnson will be speaking about the bride that is found and brought to Isaac. But it also serves as a picture of the wonderful relationship between the church, the bride, and Jesus the bridegroom.

Do you enjoy a good love story? We've got one for you today! It’s one of the all-time greats, and it’s found in Genesis 24. If you’re married, how did you and your spouse meet? Perhaps a good friend set you up on a date, maybe you met at church, or ran into each other at some sort of gathering? Consider how the Lord brought Isaac and Rebecca together. It’s nothing short of a miracle.

How Abraham responds to this gives us some clues on how to cope and where our hope is found.

Today on Sound Doctrine we look back to Genesis chapter 22 where we find some incredible prophecy about Jesus and what He came to accomplish. Of course, this would be fulfilled at the cross.
