Avoiding Spiritual Defeat, Part 1

Thanks for joining us on Thursdays edition of Sound Doctrine Radio with Pastor Jeff Johnson of Calvary Chapel Downey. Times of defeat happen when orders are not followed. When the chain of command gets broken and men and women go a wall, more than then the individuals themselves are affected. Joshua experiences this first hand as someone in their ranks disobeys. This is a valuable lesson for the church today as we listen in to Pastor Jeff as he begins Joshua chapter 7 with a study called, “Avoiding Spiritual Defeat.”

Thanks for joining us on Tuesdays edition of Sound Doctrine Radio with Pastor Jeff Johnson. We are learning a very important lesson about tithing and salvation. God requested simply a tenth back of what He has blessed people with. Now there are many who hold fast to their pocket books,. because they think they have worked hard and earned it. But the reality is, God is the one who provided them with that job in the first place. We are continuing in our study from yesterday with “Giving and Salvation” from Joshua chapter 6.

Welcome to Fridays edition of Sound Doctrine Radio. Corrie Ten Boom said, “Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable, and receives the impossible.” Israel is learning this in Joshua chapter 6. And it is a great lesson for the church today. We live in a world of medicine, science and technology. But as the church we are still required to have faith. It makes up a good percentage of our daily walk with Christ, and God is always testing it, because it is worth more than precious gold. Pastor Jeff concludes his message, Victory Through Faith.

God has brought the children of Israel to the doorsteps of Jericho, and His orders for the attack seem strange. But, God knows the outcome, and knows what it takes for victory. Welcome to SDR with Pastor Jeff of CCD in Southern, Ca. As Israel arrived at the banks of the promise land, one of their first acts was to have a memorial service. It was set up as a reminder to their children that God was mighty to save and brought them through the desert safely.
