Abe's Vision Ours? Part 2

There’s a lot of trouble and turmoil in our world today, and many are fearful as a result! Maybe that would describe you today? That fear can be extinguished, if you take Genesis chapter fifteen to heart. That’s where we’re headed today on Sound Doctrine. Pastor Jeff Johnson will recall a time when the Lord spoke an important message to Abraham, “Fear Not!” And perhaps those are words you need to hear as well.

Pastor Jeff Johnson has been taking us through the book of Genesis and today we’ve come to chapter fourteen where Abraham meets Melchizedek, a very special priest and king. We know he’s special because the Bible mentions him again both in the Old and New Testaments. God uses Melchizedek to teach us something about Christ and his role as high priest and king.

Today, pastor Jeff Johnson resumes his study of Genesis. We’ll be looking at chapter fourteen on today’s broadcast. Remember the old hymn that features the chorus, “Trust and Obey, for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. As we return to Genesis, we again see why it’s so important to trust and obey God. It leads to great blessing. And the story of Abraham serves as a case in point.
