WILL ISRAEL ATTACK IRAN?
Might Purim be the Precise Time?
Chuck Crismier: Trump's not happy. The US embassy staff has been advised to leave Israel quickly, and a leader in Israel says that the Iranians do not feel threatened by President Trump's remarks, but they do feel threatened by Israel. Why would that be? Today on Viewpoint, we're going to talk about this in a way that you're not going to hear anywhere on the news. Not likely anyway. And so I welcome you to Viewpoint. I'm Chuck Crismier. It's conversation as always with ever-increasing conviction, talk that transforms.
Push is coming to shove indeed with regard to Iran, formerly known as Persia. Formerly known as Persia. And indeed, this matter of Iran and Persia goes all the way back to our Bibles. All the way back indeed to the Book of Samuel and all the way back to the Book of Esther and some other places also in the scriptures. Persia plays a great deal of emphasis there. In fact, it was a Persian king, Cyrus, Cyrus the Great, who gave favor to the Jewish people who had been taken captive for 70 years in Babylon and allowed them, not even allowed them, but actually helped facilitate them from his kingly fortunes to rebuild the temple, the second temple.
And so the Jewish people historically look back to Persia and King Cyrus as a type of Messiah. A type of Messiah. And so today on Viewpoint, we're going to mix it up in ways that perhaps you have not considered and take a look at what is developing because it is developing and far more rapidly than you might want to think. So again, I welcome you to Viewpoint. It's conversation as always with ever-increasing conviction, talk that transforms.
And quite frankly, you might wonder why we might say that this might be a conversation that could be transforming for you. Well, the reason it could be transforming for you is because of what happened back in the days of King Saul. What happened back in the days of King Saul, the first king of Israel, is that he equivocated with God's demand. With God's order. God was the captain of his salvation, so to speak. He was the God. He was the one who gave the anointing instructions for King Saul.
And then King Saul did not follow the orders of the captain, God. He only did so to the extent that he wanted to, that he thought it was appropriate. And so he did something that American Christians are prone to do to the max here today in our country. So it has tremendous impact. You say, "Well, I don't still understand the connection." Well, I understand why you don't understand the connection yet, but you will. Stay tuned, friends.
This program today on Viewpoint is going to encompass the entirety of the program, not just a few soundbite minutes here and there. If you miss any part of it, I urge you to go back to the website saveus.org and go to Viewpoint broadcast and click Archive and then listen to the program later on this evening or anytime this weekend. Because this weekend actually may be a salutary event. Well, maybe not this weekend, but actually the beginning of a new week. And you'll see why as we progress on with the program here today on Viewpoint.
Well, you know that yesterday, another great meeting was held. And the US embassy today told its staff that it could leave the country and urged anyone considering departure to do so immediately as the threat of an American strike on Iran looms. Well, why would that loom since I thought they were in some sort of negotiations? Some sort of peace negotiations. Well, supposedly they are. In fact, Iran's foreign minister reported progress in the US-Iran talks in Geneva with technical teams set to meet in Vienna soon.
He said that the round of talks that occurred on Thursday—that's yesterday—was the most intense so far. Well, they may have been intense, but they weren't accomplishing the purpose. Ahead of the talks, Vice President JD Vance said that Iran is trying to rebuild its nuclear program. You said, "I thought it was destroyed." Well, a lot of people thought it was destroyed, and maybe much of it was, but not all. And therein lies part of the problem. How much was actually destroyed and how much was not destroyed? We'll talk about that further as we move into the program today.
So US Vice President JD Vance said that Iran is trying to rebuild its nuclear program. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Iran poses a grave threat to the United States which goes beyond just its nuclear program. In what way? Well, he said Iran poses a very great threat to the United States and has for a very long time. They're not enriching right now, but they're trying to get to the point where they ultimately can, he said.
The other thing is that Iran possesses a very large number of ballistic missiles, particularly short-range ballistic missiles that threaten the United States and our bases in the region and our partners in the region, he said. So I want everybody to understand, said Rubio, that beyond just the nuclear program, they possess these conventional weapons that are solely designed to attack America and attack Americans if they so choose to do so. Well, therein lies the problem. Do they so choose to do so?
The answer is yes. They've been breathing threatenings and slaughterings against America and Israel for years and years, calling America "the Great Satan" and Israel "the Little Satan." So when you call them "the Great Satan" and "the Little Satan," and you have established over and over again both in writing and on the air your threatenings and slaughterings to destroy the Great Satan and the Little Satan, yes indeed, you will use it when you can. You'll use whatever force or threat of force that you can. And therein lies the problem.
Now, why would the US embassy give leave now to the staff to leave Israel? That's usually the last thing that happens before a strike occurs. Before the ultimate attack is involved. US Ambassador Mike Huckabee told embassy employees in an email that discussions with officials in Washington had led to a decision authorizing departures for those who wish to leave. It urged staff considering departure to do so quickly, advising them to focus initially on getting any flight out of Israel that they could and make their way to Washington.
He said there's no need for panic, but for those desiring to leave, it was important to make plans soon. In other words, get on with it, friends. Get on with it. Why? Because he suspects that something is about to happen. What do you think is about to happen and when? I want to talk about that further in the program here today on Viewpoint, and there are good reasons why. You might be surprised. We'll be back.
Israel National News announced today that Trump had been briefed on military operations in the Iranian matter amid talks. Well, if there are talks and they're planning on having more talks, then what's the deal? What's the problem? Why is it then that the US embassy staff is being advised to leave and that right quickly? What's happened? Well, they're talking about technical talks that would resume in Vienna and Austria next week. Even during the indirect talks, Trump has kept the military option on the table and has actually beefed up the US military presence in the Middle East.
Several Republicans and some of Trump's officials have privately suggested that Israel should take the lead in any potential strike against Iran rather than the US initiating hostilities. I am going to explain to you why that might be, whether or not they realized it, because there may be a very real biblical reason why that would occur. In the meantime, the announcement comes from Newsmax that the international organization governing the uranium enrichment claims that Iran has stored highly enriched uranium at an underground site.
Well, some of Iran's most highly enriched uranium, close to weapons-grade, was stored in an underground area of its nuclear site, and the UN nuclear watchdog said in a confidential report to member states today that it's the first time that the International Atomic Energy Agency has reported where uranium enrichment to up to 60 percent purity—close to the 90 percent weapons-grade—has been stored. It's been stored in a tunnel complex entrance that was hit in US and Israeli military strikes in June, but the facility seems largely unharmed.
So Iran says, "Okay, well, you did us some harm, but we're still in good shape. We dare you to do anything because you don't know who we are. Don't you know that we're the representatives of Allah? Allahu Akbar. God is great. Allah is great." And so we represent Allah, and he is great, and he has determined that we're going to be the vanguard of the Islamic Revolution. And we are determined and ordained by Allah to rule the world under Sharia law. That's their viewpoint. Now, if you don't understand their viewpoint or you disagree with it, it really doesn't matter. What matters is that they have the viewpoint.
Because you see, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. As a man believes in his heart, so is he. As Khamenei and his mullahs believe in their minds and hearts, so they are and so they do. It doesn't matter whether you agree with them or not. It's what they believe. Now, we have a hard time as Christians understanding that in this modern age because we don't have very strong belief anymore. We just have theoretical belief. But they have a different kind of belief.
It's active belief. They actually do believe that they have been ordained by Allah to create chaos in the world so as to introduce the Islamic Mahdi, that is their Messiah, to rule and reign and lead the way for Iran and all Shia Muslims to gradually gain dominion over the world and through Sharia law to impose Sharia law on the world. That's their viewpoint. Going back to Ahmadinejad—you may recall President Ahmadinejad was declaring these kinds of things 15 years ago. We talked about it on the air here over and over again.
We have him quoted in my books, for instance, King of the Mountain: The Eternal Epic End-Time Battle. That's Iran's goal. Iran, formerly called Persia until 1935, once ruled the world. They were the rulers of the world after Babylon. You'll remember in Daniel, the prophet Daniel's vision there, the Book of Daniel, where he saw these four great statues. And the first one had to do with Babylon. The next one had to do with the Medo-Persian Empire, Persia. The next one had to do with Alexander the Great and the Grecian Empire.
The final one had to do with the Roman Empire that would be the final world governance. Persia once ruled the world, and Persia intends to rule the world again. The Ottoman Empire under Turkey once ruled the world after the Persian Empire. And they intend to rule the world again under Erdogan. And so Erdogan and Turkey are in competition with Iran as to who is ultimately going to take this major step to bring the world under Sharia law. One of them is not going to be successful. Maybe both of them.
So if you want to understand a little bit more the depth of all of this, you might want to get a copy of my book, King of the Mountain: The Eternal Epic and End-Time Battle. For it said that he who rules the Temple Mount rules the world. Did you know that the leaders of Iran have declared they intend to rule the Temple Mount, rule the world from the Temple Mount? Not from Mecca, but from Jerusalem. Did you know that? They're not the only ones that intend to rule the world from Jerusalem.
The papacy also has declared the same thing. Might come as a shock to you, but it's true. So the battle is for the Temple Mount, which is deemed to be the most priceless 17 acres on the planet. The incarnation of political and economic and spiritual power from the world's viewpoint. So God decreed very clearly that he had set his king on his holy hill, that is Jesus. You can read about it in Psalm Chapter 2. So he orders and urges the leaders of the world to get serious and humble themselves and kiss the Son, that is Jesus, lest they should be destroyed in the process of their arrogance.
Because Jesus is ultimately going to rule the world from the Temple Mount. But until then, Satan has his emissaries. Iran is one of them. Khamenei is one of them. Do you think they're not serious? Oh, they're deadly serious. It's not about money, friends. It's about religious rulership, spiritual rulership. If you don't understand that, you don't understand the dynamics of what is taking place. And most of our geopolitical discussions from Washington or in Israel elsewhere don't quite get it. In fact, they're a long way from really getting it.
You don't hear these kinds of things discussed in those realms. But we do it here so that you can understand it better. But we haven't finished that discussion, which we're going to do here on the program today, which is going to tie the knot even tighter. So JD Vance, our Vice President, was asked whether this was not going to start an endless war. He responded by saying the idea that we're going to be in the Middle Eastern war for years with no end in sight, there's no chance that's going to happen, said Vance.
He said the principle is very same: Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. We're not going to allow that to happen. He reiterated that while Trump prefers a diplomatic solution, he has other tools at his disposal. He didn't say what those other tools are. Trump has also openly floated the idea of a regime change in Iran, saying earlier this month that removing its leader, Ali Khamenei, would be the best thing that could happen. Maybe it would be. If you get rid of the head of the snake, the rest of the snake dies, as they say. Is he willing to do that? We don't know.
In fact, Trump is not willing to tell anybody what he's going to do. Have you noticed that yet? He didn't do that back in June of last year when he attacked their nuclear sites. He played their game for a while and then finally said enough is enough and attacked, and it came as a surprise to them. Will this come as a surprise if he attacks? Maybe, maybe not. But when he said he was going to give 10 days, what he was really saying is, "I'm going to give you a period of time to come to agreement that you're not going to have any nuclear power and you're going to stop creating your ballistic missiles."
And if those two things don't work, forget it. That's basically what Donald Trump is saying. If those two things are not agreed to, forget it. There's no peace that we can have. We'll do what we have to do. Now, the interesting thing is, though, that in Israel, Dr. Mordechai Kedar says Iran doesn't feel threatened by President Trump's remarks. He argues only a clear ultimatum would deter Tehran. He doesn't believe that what Trump has said or what these representatives have said from America is really resonating as a real threat to Iran.
He said the message lacks the clarity required to deter Tehran. When President Trump says, for instance, "Help is on the way" alongside talk of negotiations and simultaneous threats, he says the Iranians don't feel any threat from that. All they sense is a willingness to negotiate, to postpone, to buy time, to con you, to cheat you, to lie. So in his view, only an unequivocal ultimatum would constitute a credible threat. And he said so far they don't sense that credible threat.
Now, it may be that you would sense that credible threat, but they don't. And there are reasons why they don't. One is what we've already stated, and that is they believe no matter what, no matter how many aircraft carriers and rockets and whatever zooming over them in air, they're still determined by Allah to rule the world under Sharia law. That's how they think. That may be not how you think about it, but that's how they think about it. And if they lose that, then they've completely lost face for their religion, Islam and Allah.
And now what are we going to do? Are you beginning to get the point? So Dr. Mordechai Kedar, who is an expert there in Israel, Middle East expert, says the Iranians take Israel much more seriously than America because Israel doesn't negotiate with them, Israel just hits. Despite what he described as the significant power the US has accumulated around Iran, Dr. Kedar maintained that Iran fears Israel even more. Regarding reports that President Trump's advisers may be encouraging Israel to attack, initiate an attack that the US would later join, Dr. Kedar said he's not privy to discussions in the White House or State Department.
He said that matter would rather rest with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu alone. Well, I would agree. So why would Netanyahu initiate such an attack? Why not allow the United States to initiate such an attack? Isn't the United States actually more militarily powerful than Israel? Israel is very powerful. Israel can do an awful lot of things. But why would people in this country or even Israel and Netanyahu want to initiate such an attack? You're going to find out in the next segment of the program, friends. You're going to find out.
But in the meantime, Europe has been warning America about Islam, what Christians need to learn before it's too late. That came out today. Europe warning America about Islam: what Christians must learn before it's too late. Is it sometimes too late to say you're sorry? Too late to figure it out? Yes, it is. It's too late for a parent to refuse to discipline their children. It's too late. You have to do it timely. You have to do it when the discipline is required.
When God requires it. But you delay and you delay because you want to stir up those loving feelings or whatever it happens to be, and pretty soon the feelings aren't so lovely at all and you're in fear. We'll be right back.
Again, I welcome you back to Viewpoint. Before we go further, I want to make available to you my book King of the Mountain: The Eternal Epic End-Time Battle. It is going to open your eyes to the greater panoply of God's plan and purposes from the very beginning of creation to the second coming of Christ. All as revealed in the scripture and then tying it together with the events of our time. It's going to help you to understand the dynamics, so it's not just a geopolitical thing going on and looking at the headlines and so on.
It goes much deeper than that so that you really can gain a full or a greater understanding of the dynamics and what is motivating these issues. That's the bigger issue. It's not what is happening, it's why. $15 will put the book in your hands. It's on our website saveus.org, saveus.org. Call us at 1-800-SAVE-USA. That's 1-800-SAVE-USA. Or write to us at Save America Ministries, P.O. Box 70879, Richmond, Virginia 23255, writing a check and $6 for postage and handling.
People have asked me, "Chuck, how is it when you wrote that book in 2013 that you could have known what was going to happen today?" That's what they say. How could you have known what was going to happen? I don't know how to answer that question other than when you get insight into what God has said in His Word and you begin to see the bigger picture in a very simple way. That's what that book does. It articulates God's viewpoint in a very, very simple way that anybody can understand. And then it all flows from there.
Beyond that, I don't know how to answer that question. I don't write my perspiration, I write my inspiration. No, I'm not one of the apostles, I'm not one of the prophets and so on. I just feel that I have a particular calling to do what I do, having left the practice of law at the height of my career to plead God's ways and word and will in the land, having plead the cause of men long enough and plead His cause in the land as a voice to the church, declaring vision for the nation, America's greatest crisis hour right here on the near edge of the second coming.
That's what we do. Been doing it for over 30 years on the air and for two years before that, having formed Save America Ministries in 1993 right as the country itself was geopolitically falling apart by testimony of America's news magazines. Which is all recorded in my book Renewing the Soul of America. So there's a progression of things here that has been recorded in these books that if you have had them and you read them carefully, it would make a huge difference to you, such as the book Out of Egypt that we talked about earlier this week.
That would open up the whole picture to you in a very different way. A globalistic way, but from a spiritual viewpoint. Isn't that what we are supposed to see? We're not supposed to see just geopolitical things. We're supposed to see God's viewpoint, and he reveals those things in His Word. So if you don't have that book Out of Egypt, you need to get it. $15 will put it in your hands as well. All these are discounted from their original prices to make it easy for you to get them, to afford them.
Most books today are costing upwards of $25 to $30 or more. We're still making them available so that you can get them at a reasonable price. So we don't make any money out of it, by the way. No money. We have no money. We make no money. Whatever is received goes right back into getting the next book available to you. It's fascinating, but that's the way it is. Okay, so let's move forward now, why Europe now is warning America.
Well, you need to understand what happened in Europe. They say it couldn't happen here, but it can, and it will. From European governments' own reports and their own police assessments, their own demographic data, Europe is warning America about Islam that many have been sounding the alarm for for years. And it's no longer theoretical. It's playing out in real time, and America, our country, is walking exactly the same road just a few steps behind. Didn't we just elect a Muslim, a radical Muslim mayor to the largest city in our country?
A city that's supposed to give, shall we say, be a symbol to the world of what America is. And now he is seeking to rule New York under Sharia law and to announce five daily Muslim prayers through loudspeakers through the streets of New York. Would you have ever believed such a thing? Neither would they in England or Germany or Belgium or France, but it's happening everywhere. Why? Because they let it happen. They did not understand the battle for King of the Mountain.
Didn't understand it. In many sense, still don't. They're imprisoned by the unholy trinity of political correctness, multiculturalism, and religious pluralism. Those three things have dominated the Western world and have caused an incredible blindness to come upon our politicians, even our pastors and parachurch leaders, such that we feel intimidated to do that which is right, what is honest, what is honest, what is true from God's viewpoint to accomplish His purposes in the world and in our cities and in our land.
So even the country I am half Swedish, the country of my half generations is in serious trouble under Islam. Serious trouble. Britain's under serious trouble. Germany's under serious trouble. Belgium is under serious trouble. France is under serious trouble. They're all under serious trouble. And now Iran believes that in their prophetic destination from Allah and the Quran and the Hadiths is to rule the world under Sharia law. And have declared America "the Great Satan" and Israel "the Little Satan."
So now I want to shift away from the geopolitics of the present and go back to look at what has happened in the past and what God has said that has tremendous import on what's happening today and what might happen next week. Oh, do I have your attention now? I thought maybe we would. In the Book of Samuel—I think it's 1st Samuel, maybe it's 2nd Samuel, I can't remember now—God anointed a man by the name of Saul to be king, the first king of Israel.
And He told him at one point, "I want you, Saul, to go out and utterly destroy the Amalekites or the Amalekites. Utterly destroy them. Don't leave a man, a woman, anything, animals, anything, utterly destroy them." Now, why was that? Is it because God was ugly, mean, cheap, and stupid? No. Is it because He was just a tyrant? No. It's because the Amalekites had attacked Israel when they came out of Egypt. They attacked them from the rear. It was a totally wicked attack on God's chosen people.
And God didn't take lightly to it. He said the Amalekites or the Amalekites, however you want to pronounce it, are going to be totally destroyed. So we come to the point of King Saul. And God tells the first king of Israel, "I want you to go and utterly destroy the Amalekites or the Amalekites." So King Saul says, "Yes, sir." He salutes the commander in chief, God, and he says, "Yes, sir." And so he goes out and purports to do that. But he didn't do it.
He only did it partially. He only did what he wanted to do. Can you imagine a general now going out—the captain of the United States, the commander in chief tells the general, "I want you to do this, that, or the other," and the general goes out and he does this, that, or the other, but he doesn't do the fullness of what the President told him to do. He decides he wants to do something else. Is he going to have the favor of the President? No.
What's likely to happen? He's likely to be court-martialed or just fired. He didn't do what the commander in chief asked him to do. Well, that's what happened with King Saul. King Saul actually destroyed the people—the men, women, children, and so on—but he saved the king, Agag, alive. He saved the one person alive, King Agag. Now, why did he do that? I can tell you why I think he did it; the Bible doesn't tell us why he did it.
I think he did it because he was afraid that if he ended up in the same position, he would want the enemy to save him. That's what I think. But you can think whatever you want to think. The point is he did not wipe out King Agag. Not only that, but he saved the animals because he thought, "What a waste to destroy all these animals. They can't do anything to us anyway. We'll just save them, and it'll please the people, and then we can offer them as a sacrifice to the Lord, and who cares?" God said, "I care. You didn't do what I asked you to do."
And so Saul argued, "Well, I wanted to please the people. After all, Lord, I have to rule these people. They have to be happy with me." God says, "No, I need to be happy with you. It's not about the people; it's about me. When I tell you to do something, I expect you to do it." And he didn't. Finally, Saul admitted that he had deceived, he had refused to do what God asked him to do, and God pronounced a judgment on him. What was it? We'll hear about it.
And now we're about to see the connection, my friends, between what God has said and where we are today with regard to a nation called Iran, formerly known as Persia. Are you ready? So God decreed to King Saul, the first king of Israel, "Because you did not do what I asked you to do. You did not do it because of stubbornness and pride." And He said through the prophet Samuel, "You have refused to do what I said because rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness—oh my goodness, it's a horrible thing. Stubbornness and pride. Rebellion."
Because of that, God judged Saul. Took away His Holy Spirit anointing from Saul. And from that moment on, Saul was tormented for the rest of his life. Tormented. Let me ask you a question: Have you found yourself tormented because you didn't do something that God asked you to do? You didn't expect it to go that way, did you, here on the program today? But that's what we do. You see, this is about application of the word of God, not just information.
There are consequences to not doing God's will. I hate to think what would have happened if when God told me one day that He wanted me to plead His cause in the land and stop the practice of law at the height of my career, I would hate to think about what would have happened if I had not done that. When He told my wife and I one evening that we were to up and sell everything we had and relocate from Southern California after 30 years of business ministry and political investment in Southern California to the East Coast where the birthplace of the nation to launch this ministry, to launch this radio program, I would hate to think what would have happened if we did not do what God asked us to do.
Did it involve a certain amount of risk in the natural? Yes. Was it easy? No. You see, there are things that God asks us to do in our lives. And when we resist, it doesn't go well. God eventually will remove His Spirit. He said so. In fact, it got so bad in Israel and in Judah that God told Jeremiah, "Don't even pray for this people anymore. I'm not going to hear you." He told Isaiah exactly the same thing in Isaiah 59. "These people's hearts are hard, their fingers are colored with blood, their mouths are sputtering perverseness. Do not pray for them; I will not hear you."
Now, that may not be the message you're hearing from the pulpits in your congregation, but that's what God said. And we need to understand the fullness of who God is. He is God, my friends. He says, "I am God and there is none other." So we move forward. You say, "Well, what does this have to do with Persia? What does this have to do with Iran?" Well, here's the deal. Centuries later after the event with King Saul saving Agag, the king of the Amalekites—did you hear that? The Amalekites that God told to destroy, he saved Agag, the king of the Amalekites—and guess what?
The Jewish people, God's chosen people, were under the dominion of Ahasuerus in Persia. And under Ahasuerus, under the king, was a man by the name of Haman. Haman was second in command, it seems, to Ahasuerus. And Haman did not have a love affair with the Jewish people, to put it mildly. In fact, he despised them. He even despised a particular man whose name was Mordecai. On this program today, I mentioned Dr. Mordechai Kedar. Mordecai.
He happened to be a Jewish businessman, seemingly somewhat profitable, and he refused to bow down to Haman. And Haman was infuriated. So Haman devised a plan, a secret plan, a conspiratorial plan to have all the Jewish people suffer the consequences that he wanted to remedy upon the head of Haman. So on a particular day, all the Jewish people in the land of Persia were to be destroyed by order of Haman, who was kind of like the Vice President.
But there was a young woman who, according to the plan and purposes of God, had replaced the former Queen Vashti, who had lost favor with King Ahasuerus, and her name was Esther. She happened to be the niece of Mordecai. And she was brought into the king's house and made her his queen. As a result of that, she became aware through Mordecai of this conspiratorial plan that had been determined by Haman, the Amalekite. An Agagite, an Amalekite had been determined by Haman to destroy all the Jewish people on one day.
And he told Esther about it. And she says, "What can I do about it? I don't have any power to do anything about this. If I go into the king and mention if he doesn't extend his royal scepter to me, I'm dead meat. By order of law, I'll be dead." And he says to her, "Who knows, Esther, but what you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" So I'm going to say that to you: Who knows but what you have come to the kingdom right now for such a time as you're in? I feel that way, do you? Oh, you don't? Well, you should.
So here's what happened. On that particular day, because Esther had gone before the king and had revealed the wicked plan of Haman, Haman actually ended up having judgment reckoned against him by King Ahasuerus. And he was hung on the very gallows that he had erected on which to hang Mordecai. And the whole conspiracy was brought to naught. The Jewish people were saved and were given permission to go out and kill those who had conspired against them in the Persian Empire.
Now, here's the point. God had previously, if you recall, ordered back in the days of Moses when they came out of Egypt in the wilderness where the Amalekites had attacked from the rear, and God had decreed, "The Amalekites shall be utterly and totally destroyed." Now follow this very carefully now. Now we come a few centuries later, and the Amalekites, represented by wicked Haman and all those who are supporting him, are destroyed. But not all the Amalekites are destroyed. So who are these Amalekites out there from the viewpoint of Israel today?
Would you like to know? The Amalekites are all people, all people and nations that oppose Israel. Basically speaking, that's who the Amalekites are. That's also who the Edomites are. They're a generalized group of people, and God says, "You're going to destroy them." Now, the people of Israel, when they had the great deliverance from wicked Haman and the conspiracy against them, celebrated that victory through something called Purim, P-U-R-I-M. It was a great celebration among the Jewish people because they had been saved from extermination. They weren't going to go to the ovens this time. They were saved. And so that initiated a practice of celebration in the culture of the Jewish people called Purim to this day.
Now listen very carefully. On Monday of this next week will begin the two-day celebration of Purim. What is it celebrating? The victory of Israel over the Amalekites. From the viewpoint of Israel and Orthodox Jews, Iran and those who are contrary to Israel in Iran are Amalekites yet to be destroyed. Could you understand then perhaps why Benjamin Netanyahu and those under him in Israel, Orthodox Jews for instance, would think, "We as Israelites should take the lead in attacking Iran, which is Persia," because we're the ones that God said was to destroy the Amalekites?
God didn't tell the Americans to do it. He didn't tell the Gentiles to do it. He told the Jews to do it. Now, I want you to think for just a moment. Purim will be celebrated starting Monday night through Tuesday night. Two days. Israel will be celebrating. Will this be the time when the attack comes, memorializing, shall we say, that which God had intended to take place through King Saul thousands of years ago? It might not be the final eradication of the Amalekites, but for now, Iran is the premier representative of the descendants of King Agag the Amalekite.
Who, whose generations later was represented by Haman, the Amalekite Agagite there in Persia, who conspired against Israel to destroy them every man, woman, and child. Are you beginning to see now a different way of looking at things? It's not just looking at things from our human reasoning. It's looking at things from God's reasoning. Am I telling you that Israel is going to attack Iran on Monday or Tuesday? No, I'm not telling you that. But what I am telling you is that the situation is such that in their minds and hearts they would find complete justification in doing so.
And that they might well be the leaders in it, not to mention that the US could come alongside. For now, it's not just Jews, but it's Christians that are also being scapegoated in Iran. That's the latest report that came today. Rising arrests in Iran amid political upheaval. It's horrifying. Against Christians. Well, the Amalekites didn't like the Jews and they don't much like the Christians either. Thanks for joining us, friends. I hope this has been helpful, insightful.
And get a copy of the book King of the Mountain: The Eternal Epic and End-Time Battle. I don't think you'll be disappointed. $15 will put it in your hands. If you get the book Out of Egypt with it, there'll only be $2 postage and handling for the second book. Both of them are $15 each. $6 for the first book, $2 for the second shipping and handling. And become a partner, friends. Help us to keep the message coming until Jesus comes. God bless and be a blessing.
