Chuck Crismier: Even as Donald Trump is pursuing an Iranian deal that some say, well, it's actually not going to work and, in fact, is putting greater risk on Israel. At the same time, the former Prime Minister of Israel, Naftali Bennett, said that Turkey is the new Iran seeking to encircle Israel following the greatest disaster in Israel's history. We're going to take a look at that here today on Viewpoint and how that affects not only Israel, but the United States because it's a bigger picture.

It's a much, much bigger picture that we alluded to yesterday concerning the expansion of Sharia law. Today, we do it again, but we take a little different look to see how this is really taking place in our world, in the United States, and in Israel. But before we get to that, there was the passing. He called himself the Reverend, the Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, a protege of the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. and the two-time presidential candidate who led the civil rights movement for decades after the revered leader's assassination, died today. He was 84.

He was a young organizer in Chicago. He was called to meet with Martin Luther King at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis shortly before King was killed, and he publicly positioned himself thereafter as King's successor. Having risen from obscurity in the segregated South to become America's best-known civil rights activist since Martin Luther King Jr. In 1960, Jackson immersed himself in the blossoming civil rights movement. By 1965, he joined the voting rights march King led from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama.

Jackson was with King on April 4th, 1968, when the civil rights leader was slain at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee. In the year 2000, President Bill Clinton awarded Jackson the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the country's highest civilian honor. Jackson stepped down as president of Rainbow PUSH in July of 2023. It was disclosed in 2017 that he had sought treatment for Parkinson's, and that became a life-threatening neurological disorder, and now he has passed.

One article says he was the man who had carelessly demeaned Jews in 1984, but then became the man who interceded for Syrian and Soviet and Iranian Jews, and who praised Zionism as the liberation movement before a global Jewish audience. The broader Black-Jewish alliance was already beginning to fray, though, over issues of affirmative action, urban politics, and the Middle East. The defining rupture between the Black population and the Jewish population came during Jackson's 1984 presidential campaign.

In what he believed was an off-the-record conversation with a reporter, Jackson referred to Jews as "Hymies" and to New York City as "Hymie Town." Well, it's no longer Hymie Town. Well, some might say that it's Sharia Town. Jackson actually denied making the comments. He tried to minimize them. And then after weeks of mounting pressure, offered a public apology. But those harmful words had consequences far beyond the political arena. In fact, they seeped into the culture and emboldened those looking for an excuse to target Jews even to this day.

But Jackson did not simply move on and forget. He began a sustained, decades-long effort to repair the damage he had caused and demonstrate through concrete actions that his commitment to the Jewish community was real. He personally intervened with world leaders on behalf of persecuted Jews in a number of different situations. We don't have time to go into all the details, but that gives us some idea of a little bit of the recognition of Jesse Jackson, whom he denominated as himself, the Reverend Jesse Jackson.

But what I want to do is divert from that to an aspect that perhaps you don't know about. We've talked about this many times on Viewpoint. Back in January 17, 1998, a special article came out in World Magazine called "Pang of Conscience: Five Modern Benedict Arnolds of the Pro-Life Movement." It began with talking about Dick Gephardt. Dick Gephardt had once been a steadfast pro-lifer. He said, "I've always supported pro-life legislation." But then in 1987, he decided to run for president. And all of a sudden, he even denied that he supported pro-life legislation ever.

In the summer of 1991, a governor shocked his state. Arkansas, they were amazed to hear Bill Clinton issue pro-abortion statements before the National Women's Political Caucus. And Americans used to his presidential defense of even partial-birth abortions might even be more surprised to read what Mr. Clinton wrote in a letter to Arkansas Right to Life in 1986. He said, "I'm opposed to abortion and to government funding of abortions." But then he ran for president. And he walked the same path like Richard Gephardt.

He changed his position, becoming pro-abortion. Then there was Al Gore. For nearly a decade, Al Gore voted for the Hyde Amendment, the congressional measure that had restricted federal funding of abortion since 1976. He stated in a letter to his constituents his deep personal conviction that abortion is wrong and he voted to amend the Civil Rights Act to define the term "person" to include unborn children from the moment of conception. But then in 1988, Al Gore decided to run for president.

He said, "I'm not changed. I've always been against anything that would take away a woman's right to have an abortion." And so he lied openly in order to run for president. But he was not alone. Then came Senator Edward Kennedy. He was in 1971. He sent a letter vividly expressing his belief that human life, even at its earliest stages, has a certain right which must be recognized: the right to be born, the right to love, the right to grow old. That was Edward Kennedy. But then he was prepared to run for president.

But the prize for the best early pro-life statements that have been forsaken probably goes to Jesse Jackson, who in 1977 endorsed the Hyde Amendment in an open letter to Congress that opposed federal funds used for killing infants. I want to read to you, friends, what Jesse Jackson wrote in a 1977 National Right to Life news article. Here's what he said. Listen carefully. Quote, "It takes three to make a baby: a man, a woman, and the Holy Spirit."

He said, "What happens to the mind of a person and the moral fabric of a nation that accepts the aborting of the life of a baby without a pang of conscience? What kind of person and what kind of a society will we have 20 years from now if life can be taken so casually?" He said failure to answer that question affirmatively may leave us with hell right here on earth. And then Jesse Jackson ran for president. Changed the whole tune. So much for the Reverend Jesse Jackson.

Normally we want to see and hear about people changing from bad to good. But Jesse Jackson did just the opposite, at least when it came to the issue of abortion. He changed from good, righteous, and holy to pander to what he conceived the Democrat Party required in order to run for president. I want you to think about the import of that. And he was not alone. You see, it was Bill Clinton who carried a big black Bible for photo op purposes, claiming to be the wonderful Methodist president.

But he also changed his whole tune with regard to abortion, as did Richard Gephardt, Al Gore, Senator Edward Kennedy, and then finally Jesse Jackson, who said abortion leads to hell on earth. So where are we today? Just asking. Now, that having been said, we have talked about the good, the bad, and the ugly. The ultimate legacy of Jesse Jackson is, well, he aligned himself to do good, to remediate what he had done to undermine the Jewish people.

But with regard to babies, his legacy still lasts to the destruction of over 65 million babies since 1973. Now, we move back to the main subject of the day. The former Prime Minister of Israel, Naftali Bennett, said to a conference of presidents in Jerusalem that Turkey is the new Iran seeking to encircle Israel following the greatest disaster in Israel's history. And he's referring, of course, to what happened a few years ago with the attack on Israel. Speaking about Turkey, Bennett warned that a new Turkish threat is emerging and declared that Turkey is the new Iran.

He described Turkish President Erdogan as a sophisticated and dangerous adversary who seeks to encircle Israel. We've been saying that here for at least five to eight years, friends, right here on this program. Frequently, as Mr. Erdogan seeks to rule the world. He believes that he has been ordained to lead the Islamic world into the captivity of the entire world under Sharia law. And that puts him in opposition to Iran. Iran has believed that they were ordained as the vanguard of the Islamic revolution to do just that.

To lead the world in the Islamic revolution to completely take over the world and submit it to Sharia law. Apparently, it doesn't take Turkey or Iran, however, to do that since it's already happening, or the effort is happening, right outside of Dallas, Texas. We talked about that yesterday. We'll talk a little bit more about that here today on Viewpoint. What's also interesting is that for the first time, believe it or not, for the first time, the prayer publication of the call to prayer, the Islamic call to prayer, is now echoing over the streets in New York.

It didn't take long. The Islamic call to prayer loudly broadcast now in the streets of New York. So it doesn't take Turkey, it doesn't take Iran. It took Barack Obama to bring an Islamic revolution of immigrants into the United States of America. You remember when he was elected, the first thing he did was to go over to the Islamic countries, to Egypt and so on, and there he made great apologies for the United States. He went to the foremost and oldest Islamic university in Egypt and there he talked about the greatness of Islam and demeaned the United States of America.

Barack Obama, whether or not he was a Muslim, I'm not here to contend. But we do know he was raised in Indonesia as a Muslim. In school, raised as a Muslim. He had great affection for Islam. But then again, George W. Bush apparently didn't have much antagonism toward Islam because right after 19 renegade Islamists belonging to Saudi Arabia attacked, secretly attacked the US Trade Center and the Pentagon and attempted to get to the White House, the Capitol, he declared on public television that Islam was a peaceful religion.

Nothing could have been further from the truth, but that's what he said. Then he went on to say that Muslims, Jews, and Christians worship the same God. But he didn't leave it at that. Two weeks later, he said, and by the way, all religions worship the same God. So he included everybody. And yet the so-called evangelical community embraced George W. Bush as the great Christian champion in the White House. But his own wife said, "I never heard him claim to be a born-again Christian."

So it helps us to see what we're willing to believe when we want to believe things. And what we want to believe and what we should believe are oftentimes two different things and can lead us into great destruction and the encroachment of forces that otherwise we would not give the key to welcome into our society. Some might say, "Well, in America, don't we believe in freedom of religion?" Yes, we do believe in freedom of religion. But we don't believe in the freedom of people with religious persuasions to come in and destroy and to create havoc in the name of Allah.

That's something very different. And so we have a situation now that's developed, perhaps unwittingly to many. But as we have watched this take place over the past 30 years, it has not missed the eye of this broadcaster because we've talked about this openly, directly, persuasively. But it's fallen on deaf ears in large measure. All the way back to 1991 with the attack on the World Trade Center towers. Who would have ever believed that that attack would have actually inured to the benefit of Islam and the acceptance of such towns as Dearborn, Michigan, that has become almost exclusively Islamic?

Who would have ever believed that? Who would have ever believed that 20,000 people would be welcomed into the outskirts of Dallas, Texas, to form an enclave, an entire city all of itself, to celebrate and devote itself to the advancement of Sharia law? And to the repudiation of the Constitution and all the freedoms that allowed them to do that so that they could then come in and take them away? That's what we're dealing with. Now, Israel sees this attack not just from Iran, but from Turkey, and I agree.

That's the reason why Turkey and Iran have been at loggerheads, to put it mildly, with one another for a very long time. Turkey used to be an ally of the United States and of Israel. But then Erdogan took over, and he was a fundamentalist Muslim. And he saw that he could lead Turkey into a fundamentalist Islamic state to lay the foundation to rule the world. That's his goal. But that was the goal of Khomeini for Iran, declaring that they would set up the rulership of the world for Sharia law on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

Now, I have not heard Mr. Erdogan declare that specific thing, but that is indeed the intent of the various powers in our world, as I've written about in the book *King of the Mountain: The Eternal Epic and End-Time Battle*. For it is said that he who rules the Temple Mount is deemed to rule the world. Now, here's the interesting factor about this. Iranians are not Arabs. They're Persians. Fundamentally Persians, not all of them are Persians, but the majority are Persians.

And then, in addition to that, the Turks are not Arabs either. They're Turkish. So the Turks and the Iranians are something completely opposite of one another, and each one of them wants to rule the then-time world. The Turks under the Ottoman Empire and the Iranians under the Persian Empire that took over after Babylon. Remember that? It's all about that, right there in the Bible. So each one of these nations and people groups wants to rule the world, and they envision themselves doing so again.

Just as China envisions itself as once having this great empire and then having been lost in history in many respects and now rising to show themselves superior to the world and to prepare to rule the world by 2050. That's the goal. So these forces are all working at this moment. So when the former Prime Minister of Israel, Bennett, says that Turkey is the new Iran seeking to encircle Israel, he's absolutely right because Iran is losing its force and Turkey is gaining force. Turkey and Iran are antagonistic to one another.

They cannot endure one another. One of them will lose and the other will win, at least for a temporary period of time. And that's what we're facing in our world today. So when Donald Trump has said today that he intends to enter into a deal with Iran—Trump's pursuit of an Iranian deal undermines regional stability, says the Jerusalem Post—in what way? Well, it's as if people are beginning to think that he's so infatuated with his ability to make a deal that he forgets the people that he's dealing with and how vicious they are and what their ultimate goals are.

Can you make a deal with evil? What kind of a deal can you make with evil? When Iran, through Khomeini, has declared that their very existence, the very purpose of the Islamic revolution is to rule the world under Sharia law and first of all to destroy Israel and America, how do you make a deal with that level of evil? You can't. Because they will always use what is called taqiyya, which is a word in Islam to describe lying for the purpose of advancing Islam.

They can enter into any kind of deal. Doesn't matter. It's irrelevant because they're in it for the long run, just as China is. China does exactly the same thing. They have their own term. So we're looking at a situation now where the Iranian people have risen up and created a situation such as it was under Barack Obama. And Obama, instead of seizing the opportunity to bring the Islamic revolution to an end, he punted. How did he do that? To make a deal.

How did he make a deal? He sent $15 billion from the United States over to ingratiate himself to Khomeini so that they could build up their military to threaten America and Israel again. That's what he did. So what is it that Mr. Trump is going to do now? To seduce Iran to give up all of its claims, its claim to rule the world, its claim to spread Sharia law worldwide, to destroy America and to destroy Israel? No, you cannot make a deal with evil. We'll be right back.

The removal of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei could have been serious and decisive. For 37 years, he had been spared no crime against humanity or against Israel, shamelessly and brutally. During the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people against his religious despotism, in January of this year alone, at least 40,000 people were massacred to preserve the Shiite clerical regime in power. To the point where he sent his goons into the hospitals to kill people that were taken there for treatment, to take doctors hostage and even kill them for treating people that had been protesting in the streets.

These people are vicious. They will allow nothing to stand in the way of advancing Sharia law because it is, they believe, their Allah-determined future. They believe they are determined by Allah to rule the world and they cannot give that up. Khamenei will not give up that intent because it's more than just a loss of face. It's a loss of confidence in Allah. It would be a declaration to the world that Allah is not God, that Allah is not who Khamenei says he is, or at least that the Islamic revolution via Iran is not under the auspices of Allah and his rulership. It is a very, very serious thing and our leaders don't get it.

Khamenei is an ideologue of death, an architect of endless wars and murders, the builder of a vast terror apparatus, and the principal instigator of crimes since October 7th. But more than that, he believes he is to be to usher in the Islamic revolution and Sharia law to rule the world. When you really believe something, you act on it. If you don't really believe it, you don't. But it's obvious that he does really believe in it because of the way he conducts himself and is willing to kill, destroy anybody in his way.

The unfortunate thing is that Turkey, actually under Erdogan, is the same. Mr. Erdogan believes that he and a resurrected neo-Ottoman Empire is destined to rule the world and to lord it over the rest of the nations under Sharia law. It's his conviction. Now, we don't seem to have very many people in this country, Christian or otherwise, that have those kinds of convictions. Oh, we say we do, but we don't act accordingly. And that's the difference.

These people are acting accordingly. You can call them fundamentalists, you can put whatever label you want, you can call them terrorists, whatever label you want to put on them, but they're the true believers. They're willing to act according to what they say they believe, and therein lies the problem. How do you pursue a deal with Iran or with Turkey when you know fundamentally that they have absolutely no intention whatsoever to submit? Because to do so would completely undermine their very existence, their raison d'etre, their reason for being.

We've got a problem. But the problem isn't just with Iran or Turkey. Even though Khamenei has now declared, even as the Trump administration has said we're going to go and we're going to have another meeting in a couple of weeks to reach a deal, Khamenei said US warships can be sent to the bottom of the sea. He just said it yesterday in conjunction with the second round of renewed negotiations between Iran and the US. He said the strongest military force of the world may at times be struck so hard it cannot get up again.

Does that sound like somebody who is ready to capitulate to a deal? You can enter into a deal, but it means nothing because their beliefs do not coincide with what they say they're entering into. Now, we know that Nigeria is the centerpiece of persecution, Christian persecution all over the world. It's the centerpiece. More than 50,000 Christians are estimated to have been killed in Nigeria since 2009. About 7,000 in the first half of last year alone. Most at the hands of either the terror group Boko Haram or Muslim Fulani militants.

So, much to his credit, President Donald Trump has drawn attention to the killings since returning to the White House and designated Nigeria a country of particular concern over the slaughter of Christians. So last October, Trump asked a handful of members of Congress to immediately look into the situation in Nigeria and report back to him. Well, here's the result. US troops are beginning to arrive in Nigeria where Christians are being slaughtered. That report came out today.

The Nigerian government has acknowledged that it needs US support to combat the violence inside the country. What is the purpose of that violence? To take dominion over Christianity on behalf of Islam so that Islam would rule Nigeria. So let's move from Nigeria. Maybe we should go to New York City. Didn't take long. The Islamic call to prayer loudly broadcast on New York City streets now. That's the announcement today.

Just weeks ago, as you know, New York City residents, including large populations of immigrants, elected a Muslim as the city's new mayor, Zoran Mamdani. He immediately praised his own religion as the one true faith, and now they're being broadcast into the city streets in multiple locations, the Islamic call to prayer up to five times a day. Is this what they asked for? Well, really, yes. We told you so. This is what you asked for. Maybe public stonings will follow. Obama called it a beautiful thing.

But a number of videos were posted with comments showing the shock of New Yorkers as the development was taking place. When you listen to the sound being heard in New York in the streets, isn't this the call to prayer just as you would hear in the Middle East? And first the horrors of 9/11 and now the call to prayer echoing across the New York streets five times a day. This isn't assimilation, it's domination. But complaints fall on deaf ears while our cities change forever.

New York has been conquered. And that's only the beginning. I want you to think about it. New York, what's it called? The Big Apple? The emblem of the United States of America, for good, bad, or ugly. Residents in the area of Manhattan completely shocked to hear an Islamic call to prayer blasting on high-volume speakers as they walk down the street. One said, "I never thought in my life I'd hear this in the middle of New York." Five times a day, even broadcasting the phrase "Allahu Akbar," God is great, meaning Muhammad is great.

A commentator explained online, quote, "My Lord, America, the conquest we've warned about is exploding now. The adhan isn't a beautiful call to prayer. It's a militant declaration: Allahu Akbar. Allah is greater than your gods, than your laws, than your freedoms. There is no God but Allah. All other faiths are false." That's what's being blasted five times a day. Forced submission on non-Muslims, pure civilizational jihad straight from the Muslim Brotherhood playbook.

What do you make of this, friends? How could this happen? Would you like to have a hint? It happened because we have been, become very weak, spiritually weak as the American people. We have not trained our children or our grandchildren for a good 40 years in the ways of the Lord. We have engaged in what you might call laissez-faire parenting. We have refused even as Christian parents to truly disciple our children.

We've allowed them to be discipled by every force and every word from godless professors and teachers and so on. We've enculturated them into the ways of the world and then we wonder why they do what they do and have no strength to stand in the evil day. By the way, this is one of the reasons why I'm just putting the finishing touches, the final edits in my 12th book, *The Power to Overcome*. The power to overcome. Because friends, there's something to be overcome and it's not just Sharia law.

This is just one illustration, this is just one application. We're not even talking about Sharia law itself in this book. It's not necessary. It's an application. So what do you think? Satan knows that. He gained authority through tempting Eve, who then again tempted Adam. Adam was deceived, and that began history.

He will complete that temptation by installing his counterfeit Christ figure who will take dominion and authority over the world on the Temple Mount. He will sit upon the throne of God and declare himself God, just as Antiochus Epiphanes did 20 and a half centuries ago. It's going to happen, déjà vu all over again. What a Jewish talk show host wanted to interview me for seven weeks in a row because he said there's no way we can cover this in this one week as we had intended. Seven weeks in a row. Why? It opened his eyes in ways he never, ever dreamed possible. Now, we move from there, wrapping up the program here, and go back to the state of Texas, the largest state in the continental United States, in terms of land, I believe.

Not in terms of population, but in terms of land. So Texas is fighting back. Fighting back against what? A Sharia city in the Lone Star State. The Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced a formal investigation into a potentially unlawful Sharia city developed in Kaufman County, warning that any attempt to establish a foreign-style enclave on Texas soil will not be tolerated. The February 9th press release from the Attorney General's office revealed that a US subsidiary of the Dubai-based developer SEE Holding, in partnership with Kaufman Solar LLC, has purchased thousands of acres of land near Kaufman, Texas.

This prompted concern among local residents and state leaders about the nature and intent of the proposed project. Public reporting suggests the plan could accommodate as many as 20,000 foreign nationals, and some Texans fear it would effectively create a community governed by principles dramatically at odds with local and state law, and I might indicate also federal law and God's law. So Paxton has taken decisive legal action by issuing requests to examine SEE Holding and Kaufman Solar LLC to look at their documents and communications.

This includes agreements or relationships, correspondence, acquisitions, development plans, all of these things. And he's issued an unambiguous warning. He left no room for ambiguity in his statement. There will be no Sharia city in Texas under my watch. While you're on American soil, you will obey America's laws. And so I have launched the investigation to determine the nature of this development in Kaufman County. We will thoroughly investigate this matter for any unlawful actions.

Ultimately, friends, if you want to look at it from a governmental standpoint, it's an issue of sovereignty. What is happening in New York? Under Mamdani, he is seeking to usurp sovereignty of the city of New York and therefore ultimately the state of New York for Sharia law. In other words, to turn it into basically a Muslim state. The largest city in America, the largest Jewish city in America, and turn it into a Muslim enclave, separate and distinct from the rest of the country.

A Muslim planned community called Epic City, about 40 miles northeast of Dallas, had its construction temporarily blocked by Governor Abbott, Attorney General Paxton, and US Senator John Cornyn on August 1st last year. Then on June 19th, Abbott signed a law restricting radical Islamic Sharia law communities, and in October, Paxton announced the state's investigation into Epic City had turned up illegal activities and the Texas, Texas would file a lawsuit. That particular planned Muslim city, please listen carefully, is one of many such communities being planned in America.

It would include 1,000 single and multi-family dwellings, a K-12 school, a community college, a sports facility, and shopping center. There are already existing mosques there, the East Plano Islamic Center intended to be the nucleus of the city. This is where things are going. Now with the announcement of the Islamic call to prayer echoing across Manhattan and the streets of New York is proof positive of the direction that this is going. And our former President Barack Obama said it's a beautiful thing.

Now you know why he went to the Islamic countries the very first thing when he was elected, in his first act as president, went to the Islamic countries and apologized for America and went to Al-Azhar, I believe that's the name of it, the historic Islamic university in Egypt. I believe it's the first time an American president ever done such a thing, and there basically gave his complete approval of Islam in America. No wonder he thinks the Muslim call to prayer is a beautiful thing.

He was raised with it. Whether or not he is truly a Muslim is not my concern at this point. He certainly has great affection for Islam. And because he has no firm beliefs in anything, apparently everything's wonderful, everything's cool. Whatever you want to believe, this is a wonderful call to prayer. It's a great religious thing. He calls it a peaceful religion. George W. Bush calls it a peaceful religion. What are you going to say?

And then, when I confronted at the National Religious Broadcasters convention, which by the way is meeting right now in Tennessee, right now. But several years ago, when George W. Bush was president and he spoke at the NRB, several thousand people were there clapping their hands and just thought that we had now met the prophet of Christ coming to earth in America, George W. Bush. Not once did that president ever use the name of the Lord before an audience that would be his warmest possible audience ever in the country.

Not once did he ever mention his commitment to Christ. Not once did he ever mention that he had confessed his sin or received Christ as savior. Not once did he ever openly acknowledge anything about his faith in Christ to that audience. He made it appear by winking at them, literally winking at them to get their favor and say, "I'm one of you," without actually declaring so. It was the most amazing deception. And it was just before that that he had declared that Jews, Muslims, and Christians all worship the same God.

That Islam was a peaceful religion. That all religions worship the same God. So we had a breakout meeting, a breakout session in which three of the noted voices in evangelical media were the leaders sitting at the dais, and not once did any of this ever come up in the conversation, not once. So afterward, I took one of the persons aside whom I knew very well and I said, "How is it that you can continue support without any equivocation, without any correction, without any acknowledgment about what our current president is saying? How is it you cannot rebuke, you can't even bring it up?"

And here was the response. "Well, he's our Commander in Chief, he's not our Theologian in Chief." Oh, come on. What an absolute corrupt response. It shows you how easily, friends, our spiritual leaders are absolutely seduced to political power. Absolutely seduced. We'll bow and scrape even when a president, who supposedly is a Christian that you're inaugurating as a born-again Christian, who can't even recognize the most elementary commitment of a Christian and that is Jesus Christ is the only way, the only truth, and the only life.

And you say he's not the Theologian in Chief, just the Commander in Chief? You've got to be kidding me. This is our problem, friends. It's an unbelievable willingness to compromise in order to share in power. Whatever trust we had in the power of God, where is our love for Christ? If we're willing to compromise on something so simple as that, what about when real persecution comes? Just asking, friends, just asking.
