The betrayal of Jesus is perhaps the greatest crime ever committed. Even the betrayer was filled with remorse for what he had done. In this message we look at the dark heart of Judas, a man who was close to Jesus, but so very far away.

The Jewish authorities plotted with their Roman overlords to have Jesus killed. All they needed was someone who could help them set the trap, and that someone was Judas.  He betrayed the Son of God into the hands of evil men.

When Judas gave Jesus that fateful kiss, he was helping those who wanted to kill the Son of God. The enemies of Christ unwittingly made our redemption possible. In this message, we’ll meet Judas, of whom it was said, “It would have been better for him if he had not been born.”

Some say God’s will for us is prosperity and happiness. For Jesus, God’s will meant unimaginable suffering, both in Gethsemane and on the cross of shame. In this message we learn why we must also do the will of God, no matter what.

The Garden of Gethsemane is very ancient. Even today you can see olive trees known to be over a thousand years old. In this garden, Jesus prepared to face His darkest hour. He prepared to give His life for us.

When life is a pressure cooker for years on end, it’s easy to believe that God simply does not care. But we must remind ourselves of the promise of God that He will never leave us nor forsake us. When we’re in a tight place, it’s the promises of God that can get us through the darkness.

Israel faced great trials under the heel of the Pharaoh of Egypt. The people were brutally oppressed as slaves. The lessons they learned might help us face the stress of a modern era. In this message we learn about “Finding God in a Tight Place.”

When tough times come, it’s easy to lose heart. Moses grew up in Egypt, while the people of Israel were under bondage to Pharaoh. He had to learn some hard lessons, and in this message we’ll discover how he learned to trust God despite his circumstances.
