When You’ve Been Wronged
Conflict in relationships is inevitable, but healing and reconciliation often is not. Time and again we've tried every option and failed, and all we are left with is a load of guilt and pain. Pastor Erwin Lutzer shows how the blessing the Lord gives to those who suffer unjustly is worth the pain involved. He also illustrates the need to leave our broken relationships in the hands of God and move forward in our lives toward freedom. When someone’s conscience is dead or defiled, the evil latent in every human heart is on full display. How do we cope with people who seem to be beyond hope? In this message we’ll learn how to handle people with hardened consciences.

Sometimes we bear shame for something we didn’t do. So how do we get rid of this shame? The Bible gives us a way to be free of guilt we didn’t cause, and it helps us to maintain a clear conscience amid circumstances out of our control.

When someone does you wrong, and you had no part in causing it, how should you respond? In this message from 2 Samuel 13, we learn about a conscience seared by sin, and another conscience plagued with shame as a result.

Much of the shame we carry is due to our own bad decisions and wrong choices. But sometimes we carry guilt for things that are not our doing. We must learn how to distinguish between the two and get on the road toward a clear conscience.
October 1, 2018
When we sin, our consciences become defiled. We move from the light to the shadows, hoping to hide from the consequences of what we’ve done. And sadly, when our deeds are exposed, our first response is to blame someone else.
