The Eclipse Of God
Just as the moon obscures the sun’s light during an eclipse, today’s radical secularism has obscured the light of God. But God’s light still shines—and He is calling us to shine His light in our growing darkness. Is God more tolerant than He used to be? Pastor Lutzer shows how God is both a God of wrath as well as grace; that He is both merciful and just, and both a redeemer and a judge. Deepen your love for our unchangeable God of the Bible and be empowered to proclaim the light of truth in a culture of darkness. The assurance of salvation is found in the fact that Jesus paid the price for every sin that would otherwise keep us from heaven. And that’s why no one can bring a charge against God’s elect.

Hundreds of years after the church was founded, a key doctrine was lost, one that gave hope to the hopeless and life to the spiritually dead. That doctrine is justification by faith. It was rediscovered by Martin Luther in the 1500s. So what does justification mean?

When our consciences are clean, we can see clearly, run freely, and live joyfully. The book of 1 John teaches us how to walk in the light of knowing that we’re fully right with God.

One of the most important Bible verses for living with a clear conscience is 1 John 1:9. Confession is a daily process and it keeps the way clear between us and God.
June 2, 2015
Clearing your conscience is like having a great weight lifted off of your shoulders. Dread gives way to joy, and you can know that you are in fellowship with God Himself. So how do you keep yourself in that place of joy each and every day?
