In a hyper-sexualized culture, sex is either reduced to pleasure-seeking or conflated with our identity. But God designed us as sexual beings for emotional and spiritual intimacy whose highest calling is to worship Him. In this revised edition, Pastor Erwin Lutzer draws on forty years of ministry experience to present a rationale for sexual purity. He gives an honest answer to the sexual pressures we face like extramarital relationships, self-gratification, same-sex attraction, and more. As desire-driven creatures, we don't have to pursue happiness at the expense of character. With our identity grounded in Christ, we can live victoriously with our passions. With joyful carols filling the air, the Christmas season is upon us. Economy experts paint the season as pivotal for retailers, and many get caught up in the materialistic desires of our culture at this time of year. It’s sad that so much darkness is amongst us, but that’s why we look to Jesus as our source of light.

Jesus will return one day as King of Kings. But in His first coming, He was a servant to the will of God, giving His life to save His people from their sins. In this message we begin looking into three chapters of Isaiah, chapters that reveal what kind of servant Jesus was.

The baby Jesus will be a baby no longer when a thousand-year reign of peace dispels the darkness of war and suffering. Isaiah the prophet lifts our spirits by reminding us of the future reign of Christ the King on this earth.

In ancient times, kings had almost absolute power. A person’s life or death was in the king’s hand. In our day, presidents and congresses come and go. In this message we look forward to a time of a real king, and a real rule: Jesus on this earth.

Kings have a total claim on people’s lives, time, and taxes. We’re not used to that type of authority in America. Many see kings as relics of a bygone era. But in this message, we’ll see why Christ is the long-foretold King of Kings, and what that title means.
