God is More Tolerant Than He Used to Be Part 1

The Eclipse Of God
Just as the moon obscures the sun’s light during an eclipse, today’s radical secularism has obscured the light of God. But God’s light still shines—and He is calling us to shine His light in our growing darkness. Is God more tolerant than He used to be? Pastor Lutzer shows how God is both a God of wrath as well as grace; that He is both merciful and just, and both a redeemer and a judge. Deepen your love for our unchangeable God of the Bible and be empowered to proclaim the light of truth in a culture of darkness. Pause a moment and consider that what you think about God might be fundamentally wrong. Lay aside your preconceptions and listen to what God says about how to find Him.

The Bible thunders that there’s only one way to approach the Almighty.  Before you buy into the consumeristic lie that you can simply choose to follow whoever you like, hear the statement of Scripture: Jesus is the only way.

Sometimes we need to stop long enough to consider “Are we among those who believe wrongly about God?” This is a serious question, because nothing is more important than what you believe about Jesus.

When Jesus came to live among us, we beheld the radiance of the glory of God in human form. John 1 summarizes this wonderful truth: God came to live among us as a man.

John 1 is a breathtaking overview of how Jesus is God’s expression to mankind. As the Word of God in human flesh, Jesus shows us what God is like.

In the gospel of John, the Greek word logos means, “the expression of God.” Logos simply means Word, and in this first gospel, we learn that “the Word of God was made flesh.” The visible expression of God to us is His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Believers know they should pray, but often they’re not sure what to pray for. The Bible assists us, teaching us that the Word of God itself prompts our minds with things for which we should pray.
September 23, 2015
If you ever wonder what to say when you pray, try praying the Scriptures back to God. When we are lost for words, the Word of God can usher us into a profitable and enriching time of prayer.

Moses once said, “O Lord, show me Your glory.” Moses understood life’s greatest ambition: beholding the glory of God and participating in it. How does the Word of God guide us to do just that?
