The Devil draws many into believing his lies that this life is all there is, but the reality is that there is life after this life.  Heaven and Hell are reality’s after either we die on this earth or Jesus comes for us.  This life can become very wearisome and we may question why we are still here, but God still has work to do in us and through us.  As long as we keep our faith and hope in the reality that is to come, we can have the strength to finish out the things God has placed us on this earth to do until He calls us home.

A heart attack happens when blood stops getting pumped back to the heart.  For any person, it is one thing to think a certain way, but it is another to believe it in your heart.  Our hearts can either be found in the Lord or hardened against Him, and the latter is what causes attack.  When we are disconnected from God, spiritual life is not getting to us and we are apt for attack.  It is crucial in the Christian life to remain in the Word and in fellowship with other believers so that our hearts do not turn away from the Lord.

The Cross Is Foolishness

We live in a world full of people who are dying of thirst for the Gospel, and they may not even know it.  As Christians still on earth, God has purposed us to be as pots bringing them the water for which they thirst.  Unfortunately we are cracked pots because not one of us is perfect.  It is God’s grace that can use those cracks in our pots to draw others to Him if we are vulnerable enough to reveal them to others, and as God shows us the cracks in our lives He also mends them.  Regardless of our cracks, we still must bring the water to the thirsty world that God has us in for that reason.

About Richard Ellis

Authentic... Genuine... Sincere... This guy is the real deal. He loves God. He loves his wife Rebecca and his 3 daughters. He loves people. He loves his job. He loves Texas BBQ. He loves an occasional round of golf. And he loves the Dallas Cowboys (but don’t hold that against him!).

Richard grew up as a missionary kid in Brazil, coming back to the states to finish his education. He graduated from Baylor University in 1982 with a BA in Oral Communications, and earned his MDIV in 1985 from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, making him the sixth generation of pastors in his family. His early days of ministry included serving for three years as the Single Adults Pastor at the First Baptist Church of Dallas.

Then in 1997, Richard Ellis founded Reunion Church, a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, non-denominational church in the heart of Dallas,Texas. Dallas needed a church like it. And it would need a pastor like Richard. So Reunion Church was born. And now the radio show and the website (www.RichardEllisTalks.com) join the Reunion Church community under the leadership of this guy. And we’re all the better for it!
