Mary was blessed to be chosen to carry the Son of God inside of her so that He could come in the flesh to save us. Now when we are saved, we have the Holy Spirit inside each of us and that should make a difference as others see Him in us.

God answered the prayer of Zechariah and Elizabeth to have a baby when it would be within His perfect timing and plan for that baby to precede and make the way for His own Son. Our prayers may seem repetitive and it may seem like God doesn’t care, but His answer will come in His perfect timing and we must wait and trust Him.

God is so powerful that all He had to do was speak and the whole universe was created as vast and as detailed as it is. Within that creation, He ordained that a star would be near enough to the earth to proclaim the birth of His Son who was sent to save the world.

Just as God worked out the impossible to have the virgin Mary conceive and birth His own Son, God can do anything in and through us to accomplish His plan and purpose. When His Spirit lives inside of us, He will instruct us in things that may seem impossible but He fills us with the power to do it as we walk in obedience.

God planned out every detail about the arrival of Christ, and every prophecy came to pass. God has a reason, purpose and perfect timing for everything in our lives to bring us to a saving knowledge of Him so that we can respond to have Him come live in us and through us.

God gave hope to His people by telling of His plan for Jesus to save the world from sin. Since we now have the Holy Spirit living inside of us and are saved from sin, we can tell the world what He has done for us and for them.

Jesus was a perfect example of not giving up in serving God through ministry. Even though He knew the hardship and death He was facing, rather than taking some time off to relax before facing all of that He continued His ministry and teaching others until He took His last breath.

The Bible tells us to care for the widows, orphans, poor and sick. Rather than segregating ourselves from those people groups, we need to bless them and give sacrificially in obedience to God and watch as He blesses us in return in various ways.

Sometimes our lives start to smell awful and a reason for that is God may be fertilizing the soil around us so that we can begin to bear fruit. God has created us for the purpose of spreading the Gospel. In order to bear fruit it is essential to be passionate about Jesus and talk about Him more than anything else.

Just as a fire can go out and turn into a pile of ashes that can be stoked to find embers to relight the fire, our excitement about salvation can be renewed. When we remember God’s blessings for us, big or small, it stokes the fire in our hearts to be thankful for what He’s given and have a faith that connects to our feelings.

Just like Jesus stood up for His Father’s house when He became angry of injustices, we are to stand up for what is right and speak out against the wrong that is being done. We can do this without wishing harm on others out of anger at them and instead remain righteously angry at the injustice and fight to make a change.
