A pearl is made when something as small as a grain of sand gets into a clam and causes irritation. Complaining about the frustrations in our own lives helps nothing, but we can choose to stop complaining and allow God to work in the situation and make something beautiful out of it.

Most Christians start out on fire for God, sharing with everyone what God has done for them in saving them. But eventually other Christians can often influence them to tone it down and they lose their infectious nature of sharing the Gospel. We must carry the Gospel message to the world in such a viral way that it causes a pandemic to spread and lost souls to be infected.

Our lives are not about gaining glory for ourselves but rather for God. We do that when we allow Him to use us to disciple others and then slingshot them forward and teach them to disciple more believers behind them.

The devil will try his hardest to get us to stumble when we are obeying the Lord, especially in relationships. When we are married it is essential that we remain content in our own bed, having others keep us accountable. If we have messed up in the past, there is hope beyond the mistake, because although the consequences will still be there, Christ can redeem all things.

All we have to do to be saved is to admit that Jesus is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead. Jesus died so that we can have life, and God’s power to raise Him from the dead is the same power that can give us an abundant life in Heaven and here on earth.

We are surrounded by people who don’t know about God, the Bible, church, and Christianity in general, yet we tend to hang out with people like us. Just like Jesus reached out to the outsiders, and even got criticized for it, we need to help people feel included and teach them about Christ.

Too often we get caught up in seeing the flaws of the authority over us, especially when it comes to our government. Rather than complain about the way things are being run, we should be constantly on our knees praying for the person in charge and asking God to work on that person’s heart, trusting God’s control more than losing heart by watching the flaws of man.

When we become Christians, we put to death our old life and walk in a new way, submitting to God in everything. Our flesh puts up a battle by reminding us of the sin that we’re missing out on, but when we hold fast to God and grow stronger through resisting the temptations, the sin becomes less and less missed in our lives and we realize that with God there’s nothing that satisfies us that we’re missing out on.

The more we understand that it’s by God’s grace that He picked us to be part of His people in the first place, the more humbled we are and can share the Gospel message with others. As we draw nearer to Jesus, we realize that the people all around Him are a diverse people brought together in unity because of Him.

While God sacrificed His Son so that we may be saved, He also desires us to sacrifice our lives to allow Him to pour us out and use us as He pleases. In order to not waste the time we have here on earth, we must allow God to pour us out and use us as part of His work, no matter what it costs us because it is worth it in the end.

Often times we can get caught up in our lives doing whatever it is we want to do and God comes along, calls us out and stops us in our tracks. When God uses something to get our attention, we need to stop, repent, and follow where He leads.
