Jesus said that He came so that we may live life to the fullest. God has a plan for each one of us but it is only when we get up and move, accepting His plan and live for Him that we actually experience this full life that He promised.

Fathers are called to be examples to their children of the Heavenly Father, but not in their own strength. A father is in a way a middle man to teach the child to lean on God. Jesus is also the middle man for us, and it is through Him that we can have God as our Heavenly Father.

Often times the difficulties we face are symptoms of the root issue of sin in our life. Ask others to help you deal with those issues by using the tools God gives you through Scripture.

Jesus was put up on a cross so that all who look to Him and believe may be saved. As followers of Christ we are also fishers of men and therefore must tell others who have been inflicted with the deadly wound of sin nature to look to Christ, find life and be saved.

People learn best when they can see and hear someone else, then do the same things themselves. Jesus tells us that we need to make disciples and so as we do that, we must teach them to do the same thing.

Too many people believe whatever they hear instead of looking for truth themselves. Godly men and women are those who seek out the Scripture and have a foundation set on God so that nothing that comes their way will tip them from what they know to be true.

When Jesus died on the cross He made it possible for us to have freedom to choose God as our master. You will either be a slave to Him or a slave to sin, but you must make the choice.

Instead of remaining in the prison of sin after Jesus sets us free, we must choose to walk out, diminishing every fear that comes up and live in the liberty that He has given us. When we are truly living in freedom, we can help others to live in freedom as well.

God has designed His Church to have shepherds that lead the flock and protect them from wolves whose only intention is to devour them. When we plug into a church and submit to its godly authority, we have leadership and protection that is necessary for ourselves and to help us pull others in.

The reality of life is that troubles will come. God has designed His Church to be full of people who can comfort each other during those times. He can work in us and through us so that His goals are accomplished in spite of difficult situations.

The Bible tells us of the covenant that God made with His chosen people, Israel. That covenant was then shared with all the gentiles through Christ. This means that for us who believe, we become God’s children forever and He promises to take care of us just as He took care of Israel and continues to do so.

About Richard Ellis

Authentic... Genuine... Sincere... This guy is the real deal. He loves God. He loves his wife Rebecca and his 3 daughters. He loves people. He loves his job. He loves Texas BBQ. He loves an occasional round of golf. And he loves the Dallas Cowboys (but don’t hold that against him!).

Richard grew up as a missionary kid in Brazil, coming back to the states to finish his education. He graduated from Baylor University in 1982 with a BA in Oral Communications, and earned his MDIV in 1985 from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, making him the sixth generation of pastors in his family. His early days of ministry included serving for three years as the Single Adults Pastor at the First Baptist Church of Dallas.

Then in 1997, Richard Ellis founded Reunion Church, a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, non-denominational church in the heart of Dallas,Texas. Dallas needed a church like it. And it would need a pastor like Richard. So Reunion Church was born. And now the radio show and the website (www.RichardEllisTalks.com) join the Reunion Church community under the leadership of this guy. And we’re all the better for it!
