Marriage is meant to display total oneness and intimacy, yet when sin becomes involved in brings shame and disconnection. The Bible gives instruction for the way husbands are to love their wives and wives are to submit to their husbands and in that design we have marriage as it was intended to be, but none of us can fulfill our roles without Him.

It is best to fear God and obey Him no matter what it costs us because not fearing Him puts us in a dangerous position. The more we know God, the more we fear Him with a certain awe and respect that He deserves.

We all start off in over our heads buried in sin, but God has made a way through Jesus Christ to take away all our sin, leaving some consequence so we can learn from our mistakes. The more we dive into the Scriptures and apply what we read, the more God’s Spirit works in us and through us, changing us for His glory.

The Bible tells us that when we abide in God, He not only lives in us but also lives through us producing Spiritual fruit. We can do nothing to bring Him glory apart from Him. We must remain in Him so that He can prune us to produce more fruit.

The Bible tells about a story in Nehemiah where God’s people came together to rebuild a city, astonishing everyone that it was completed in 52 days. God wants His Church to work together so that the works that are accomplished point directly to Him and no one is alone in the process.

We tend to have difficulty accepting God’s love for us and forgiveness for our sins when the devil reminds us repeatedly of whom we once were. When we come to terms with Christ’s sacrifice for us being fully sufficient to cover our sins, we are then held to a standard of showing the same forgiveness and mercy to others.

The Bible tells us that everyone has fallen short when it comes to hitting the mark of perfect holiness. No matter how much we act like Christians, we will never hit the mark until we allow Jesus to live in us and through us. When Jesus lives in and through us we begin to hit the bull’s eye.

At some point we must stop doubting whether or not God loves us and put our faith in the fact that He does. How could He send His only Son to die on our behalf if He did not love us? Our feelings will come and go, but His love for us is everlasting.

A crucial part of the Christian life is studying Scripture. God wants us to be engrossed in the Scriptures so that He can use us to help explain truth and life to those who are seeking it. He doesn’t want us to merely be able to explain what something says, but also tell how it is to be applied to one’s life, and that happens when the Holy Spirit lays on our heart the truth that is right in front of us.

This world only has so much to offer that money can buy. It is when we invest in others’ lives that we are making an investment in eternal treasure that we will receive one day in Heaven. When we lose our life to Christ on earth, we gain so much more in eternity.

God calls us all to preach the Gospel to anyone we come in contact with, whether we go to another country on a mission trip or to our office, neighborhood or other place locally. The world is hungry for knowing the true God, and many of them are trying their best to follow what they understand or have imagined of Him, but He’s given us the Gospel to spread and help bring others into believing the truth and becoming part of His family.
