Bonnie Sala: What would you say to your young self if he asked, "How can I forgive someone who keeps hurting me and doesn't even seem sorry?" I'm Bonnie Sala with Reset. That's a difficult question that even adults struggle to answer. Drini, a mom in Albania, shared her family's story.

Our son had been going through a painful situation at school. Some classmates had treated him unkindly, and the hurt had followed him home. As parents, we tried to listen and point him toward the scripture that says, "Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others."

On Sundays, the family listens to Christian radio on the drive home from church. Drini shared, "The message spoke about the grace of God and his perfect love for every person he has created. As the words filled the car, we noticed our son becoming unusually quiet. Then, we saw tears in his eyes." Something had touched his heart.

The message had helped him begin to see forgiveness in a new way, not simply as something hard he had to do, but as something that grows out of the grace God shows to all of us every day. As parents still growing in their own faith, they often felt the weight of guiding their son while still learning themselves.

But moments like this reminded them that God is faithfully at work, sometimes in the most ordinary places, sometimes through a simple message on the radio. That night, their son said something they will never forget: "I think I understand now. If God keeps forgiving me, I can try to forgive them too."
