God is just. He will settle the score in the end. God sent His Son Jesus Christ to bear our sins with His own body at the cross. Only Jesus could do that. And, only Jesus can redeem us from the curse of the Law. A Law that has no grace, and cannot sacrifice itself in our place.

Christ wants us to follow in His footsteps. But, this also holds true in His suffering. We can be in the middle of God’s perfect will, loved by Him with an infinite love, and yet be suffering greatly in a Christ rejecting world.

Jesus came for the poor in Spirit and to heal the brokenhearted. He came for those who have lost their way in life, and whose souls are at the breaking point. Our enemy Satan roams about looking for those he can destroy. But, Jesus lights our way, setting us free from a world that held us in bondage, and sin.

Christians must stand for the truth. The only time we are called by God to disobey those in authority is when their commands are in violation of our Biblical convictions, or the violation of direct scripture. With respect and honor we cannot disobey God to obey them.

Those who rule over us are in the hands of the Lord. God puts leaders over us for our learning. He always has a plan, and everything belongs to Him. We only need to trust and obey His authority.

Those who reject Jesus as the Christ might gain the whole world, but will lose their own soul in Satan’s eternal darkness. Christians may be mocked for their beliefs, and criticized for obeying Christ in humbleness. Still, their reward is not of this world, but eternally with Jesus in Heaven’s glory.

Truth is not whatever you want it to be. Only Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and only He can light our way through the darkness of this world. Jesus shines His light behind us so we aren’t troubled by our past. He shines His light around us so we aren’t anxious about the here and now, and He shines His light ahead of us, so we don’t lose our way.

We cannot remain silent about our faith in Jesus Christ. Instead, we take a stand for what’s right. We may not be of this world. We’re just Pilgrims passing through. But, we need to take as many as we can with us on our journey towards Heaven.

In order to stay strong, and continue to grow deeper in the ways of Jesus, we need to take on His divine nature and character. Not to elevate ourselves, or live for our own fulfillment, but to show God’s love for the world.
