What's Love Got To Do With It? Part 4

March 18, 2014
The so-called “apostle of love,” John himself appeared to have unique and personal insight into the kind of love that comes from the Almighty. After all, he was one of the closest disciples to the Messiah! His gospel, as well as his three New Testament letters seem to reflect this divine love like no other writings!

Daze Of Deception
Jesus warned that deception would grow worse as we draw nearer to the end times, saying, “Take heed that no one deceives you” (Matthew 24:4). Distinguishing truth from error has become increasingly challenging—even in the church. We live in a time when falsehoods assault us from every direction. Packaged with just enough truth to make them appear trustworthy, these counterfeits have grown more and more difficult to detect and avoid. Living in the Daze of Deception explores the many ways error is masquerading as truth—and you’ll learn how you can discern the difference.

Have you ever heard the declaration, “God is Love?” Iʼm sure you have! But do you know where to find it in Scripture? Do you know what the author meant by it? Is it often misunderstood or taken out of context? Well, of course, John is the one who, in his gospel, referred to himself as “the disciple whom Jesus loved.” It seems John the apostle had particular insight into -- not just love, per se -- but divine love!

Weʼre approaching the end of this series called, Living in the Daze of Deception. Itʼs taken from the opening verses of chapter four.  Now in this final presentation, Pastor Jack is quite likely going to be stepping on some toes, because he deals with...Babylon. Of course thereʼs ancient Babylon, but there is also “modern” Babylon as weʼll see in this lesson called, “The Roman Road to Babylon.”
