A prophetess whose name was Anna, comes up to Jesus and His parents in the temple and immediately gives thanks to God for Him. Anna then speaks to all who were there about Jesus, as the one they are looking forward to, for the redemption of Jerusalem.

To want to be with Jesus, is saying that we have been longing to be with Him. Our salvation is knowing that we have come to the end of ourselves, and are turning to Christ for deliverance, and hope.

The day God came down it was the first time, physically, He was localized in one place. Minimized in a human body as we are and feel exactly what we feel. Familiar with pain, sorrow, hatred and rejection, Jesus could now embrace us with His love, joy and peace that only He can give.

When God came down to earth, He gave us a sample of heaven. Even though He placed Himself in human hands as an infant, God still had a plan. He humbled Himself considering all of us to be worth it in order to save us.

When Jesus was born, the angels first announced His coming to the shepherds who were keeping watch over their flocks by night. To experience their glory was beyond what they could ever imagine or think. Jesus came down as the Good Shepherd to give life to those who are despised by others, knowing Himself how it feels to be scorned and rejected by men.

Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God became a man to save us from our sins, and give us eternal life. The question is, what does that mean to us personally? We can be sure that God not only had a plan for His Son, but has a plan for our lives as well.
