The remarkable truth about our God is that He comes to us in a personal way. He longs to have a one on one relationship with us. Through His Holy Spirit, God will both lead us and teach us His principles, and give us His love that every human being longs for in return. God is the only one who can give us a purpose for living.

Willful slavery to God’s will is our greatest freedom. Our minds may battle with the thought of total submission. But, there is no greater joy than to be in service to God’s will and purpose for our lives, and for the world around us.

Knowing God’s will begins by saying yes to salvation, and moves into embracing His Lordship. It means a life of purity, and day to day faith. But, to trust that God is with us, is to know without a shadow of a doubt that He has everything under control.

God doesn’t cause the evil in this world, nor our pain and heartache. But, He will use our distress to reach into our lives and reveal to us His ultimate power and love.

We can’t escape from God. He is always there. Whether you turn right or left, or hide in a dark corner, God is all directional. For the Christian, this is good news knowing that we can trust Him in whatever place or situation we find ourselves in.

To know God is to trust Him. When we give ourselves completely to the Lord, He will give us the desires of our heart. But, to know God is to share His heart, and want what He wants for our lives.

We are, by nature, spiritual beings. To deny the existence of God is to deny not only who we are, but our own existence. When we pursue the things of the Spirit, however, we’re free to acknowledge who God is, and fully embrace all that He has for us.

We all have values that we live by. We have the ability to love and create, to make moral judgements, and the will to choose how we want to live. But, when we allow sin to rule, it causes a real problem for us. We need to let the spirit lead over our physical desires.

God imparts to us the breath of life. But, if we allow the body to be in charge, the soul will follow the body, and whatever it wants in the moment. But, when our Spirit is in charge, the soul will follow after the Spirit, and all that is eternal.
