We are, by nature, spiritual beings. To deny the existence of God is to deny not only who we are, but our own existence. When we pursue the things of the Spirit, however, we’re free to acknowledge who God is, and fully embrace all that He has for us.

We all have values that we live by. We have the ability to love and create, to make moral judgements, and the will to choose how we want to live. But, when we allow sin to rule, it causes a real problem for us. We need to let the spirit lead over our physical desires.

God imparts to us the breath of life. But, if we allow the body to be in charge, the soul will follow the body, and whatever it wants in the moment. But, when our Spirit is in charge, the soul will follow after the Spirit, and all that is eternal.

Many Christians live in fear of what others might say about them. They are powerless in their walk, bound up with frustration, and living without direction or meaning. But, the believer who chooses to walk in the Spirit, will move on in the power of love, joy and peace, unaffected by the world around them.

Without the Holy Spirit, we lack the power to move forward. As the world gets darker, it’s only the Holy Spirit’s power moving inside of us that we can live a life full of passion and purpose.

We as believers can trust the Holy Spirit to equip us for the work of the ministry. God didn’t leave us without help, but gave us the Holy Spirit to ignite our passion to spread the Gospel, and help us in our purpose for living.

To fight the good fight of faith doesn’t mean that we did everything we were supposed to do. It doesn’t mean we did everything perfect. It means that in all that we did, we allowed the Holy Spirit in our lives to reflect the character and the nature of Jesus.

When reality hits us, it hits hard. The world can’t handle the message of love and grace, and will fight against it. To be a follower of Christ is to be hit by the hatred of this world. But, the Holy Spirit compels us to share the Gospel no matter what comes against us.

God wants us to walk in clarity, and not in confusion. When everyone around you is telling you what to do and how to live, wisdom and clarity is available to all who seek the heart and mind of God for it.

As believers in Christ, we are to be a people of prayer. To live and move in an attitude of prayer, knowing that God is our source and our High Commander, who always comes through for us.
