The evidence for faith is seen in all that we do. We have faith the sun will rise, and that the moon and stars will light up the night sky. It’s that natural. But, the greatest things that exist are the things we cannot see. We cannot see love, but when it’s expressed we know that it’s real.

We as humans are the only beings that God created in His own likeness. Our ability to reason, along with an internal moral code makes us unique from all other species. We were formed from the dust of the earth, yet we can think, accumulate knowledge, and engage with others.

We all have a reason, and a purpose for living. God, our Divine Creator, put inside of us the ability to consider why we are here. It’s why we as humans have logic and reason, and why God gave us the Bible for the answers.

Heaven is a place where we'll see our fellow believers again. For the Christ follower, there are no goodbyes. Instead, we just say, “see ya soon”. But, until we meet again, Peter encourages us to stay the course. To not only keep our thought life on Christ, but to trust in Him as well.

Pastor Jack reminds of how simple the Gospel is. Even a child can understand it. But sadly, the older we get, the more our pride gets in the way. We don’t want to think of ourselves as sinners, or in need of salvation. But, it’s not until we humble ourselves, and have that child-like faith can we enter the kingdom of Heaven when we leave this earth.

There is nothing more serious than choosing where we will spend eternity. Our eternal destiny is a matter of life in Heaven, or life spent in darkness and despair without salvation, and without hope. The Lord is waiting. Know His love for you, and how much He wants to save you.

On today’s program, Pastor Jack reminds us to greet each day with gratitude towards the Lord. He’s our reason for living, and our motivation to keep going no matter what comes our way. Peter’s joy came from a thankful heart, knowing that he wasn’t perfect, but forgiven.

Parting words are always meaningful. It’s hard to let go, especially when we are facing the end of our lives. But, how we say goodbye is a very telling sign of how we lived. Peter, always the teacher, gives instructions on how to carry on once he’s gone.
