Human history has recorded the rise and fall of all the nations that have existed on the earth. And, the Book of Isaiah is even more prevalent today, as it was almost 3,000 years ago. Isaiah warns us that if we turn our backs on the Lord, the time will come for our own decline and collapse.

Isaiah speaks more about salvation, the Messiah Jesus Christ, and the end times, more than any other book of the Bible. But, Isaiah’s nation is in trouble. And, when good king Uzziah died, Isaiah receives a vision from God about his calling. To tell God’s people to listen, and to turn from their rebellion.

A prophet brings the concerns of Heaven down to earth, and announces what God’s thoughts are. And, now in this day and age, and in our culture, God, wants us to speak up. And, through the power of the Holy Spirit that is within us, bring the Gospel, to our lost and dying world.

The Book of Isaiah is like a mini Bible. The Bible has 66 Books, Isaiah has 66 Chapters, divided into 2 sections like the New and Old Testaments. Many scholars believe that it is too detailed to have been written at that time. They argue that over 25 times Isaiah calls God, “The Holy One of Israel, your Savior” detailing Jesus as the Messiah.

There was no greater commission than to be a prophet of God. They spoke what God had given them to speak, no matter the outcome. And, most often, like Isaiah, they were rejected, persecuted, and then martyred for the message that they delivered.

Christians are to watch out for deceivers, and what is called, “Doctrine of Demons”. We live in an age that craves spiritualism. Supernatural evil is rising with staggering momentum. Satan knows his days are numbered, and time is short before Christ returns to bring judgement on the earth.

The Bible requires us to watch with a sense of urgency, as prophetic events unfold. We’re also to eagerly anticipate, and prepare for Christ’s return, who is our blessed hope and Savior. And, when Christ appears, we will also appear with Him in glory.

The Bible is the only prophetic book there is because as we find out in the Book of Genesis, the Bible is the first to speak of our existence. The Bible also was the first to confirm New Testament revelation through the pages of Old Testament theology. And, the Bible is the first to promise us a Savior who is God’s Son, Jesus Christ.
