God is very patient, and longsuffering. He is a God of mercy, and it’s His will that we thrive. He is there to give us a
future and a hope. That’s why God corrects those He loves. It’s not to punish us, but to give us the opportunity to turn and repent from chasing after our own pleasures and desires, which can ultimately be our undoing.

God will leave us to ourselves, when in our rebellion, we continue time and again to allow our disobedience to override our wisdom. And, soon our hearts are hardened to the point where God removes His hand of protection, and those things we hold onto that are precious to us, are taken away.

God is the one who chooses when a nation will rise, and when it will fall, and can change a nation’s borders according to His purposes. But, God hears the prayers of His people, and can change the minds of any government that turns away from Him, or cries out to Him. Cultures can be destroyed from the inside out, for lack of self-control.

Historically, God esteems the woman highly. God even calls husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church, and gave Himself for it. And, you can detect the value of a culture by how it treats woman. When a woman becomes only an object of pleasure and not treasured, the culture declines, often into ruin.

Like Israel, our nation was founded on Godly principles. But, Godless leaders will try and erase those principles from our minds and hearts. And, Isaiah warns his people that when this happens, you are against the Lord, His Words and His deeds, and are defying His glorious presence.

God pleads with us to follow the straight path of righteousness and justice that He has set for us. But, when our hearts are far from God, and His blessings have been removed, we will look for a worldly leader who promises change, but there will be none. It happened 3,000 years ago in Isaiah’s time, and just as it happened then, it’s happening now. And, just as it was back then, Isaiah’s warnings are going unnoticed.

Our God is a God of Justice, and the Lord of Heaven’s army. And, when those in authority disobey God, and take advantage of the poor with their policies, God hears their groanings. And, Isaiah tells us of how the Lord rises up to plead His case, and stands to judge those who dishonor Him. His Supernatural Law is unbreakable. Only obedience to God, brings about blessings.

When God’s people obey Him, and desire His righteousness, in the end, it will be well for them. Keeping on the right path brings rewards, but Isaiah warns that when integrity becomes a rare thing, good leadership is also not to be found. And, childish leaders will oppress the people, and cause them to make bad choices, and in the end, it will not be well for them.

Today, Pastor Jack tells us that the people have forgotten God in their prosperity, and now danger is coming. When we forget God, things begin to evaporate. Money reserves, goods, and services begin to disappear. Nations are never to big to fail. And, when we rebel against God, He is under no obligation to continue His blessings, and many times He will withhold His blessings to get our attention.

When a nation becomes wealthy and affluent, it can become self-reliant and self-promoting. Promises of peace and prosperity are made, and people will have control through their power and influence. But, Isaiah warns of the coming terror from the Lord, and everything that was lifted up will be brought down, as the glory of God’s majesty is revealed in Christ’s Second Coming.

The most hated, persecuted, and most conquered group of people on the earth are the Jews. But, God and His mercy is compassionate towards Israel, and will not forget her. And, the Lord has chosen Jerusalem as the place where He will sit on the throne of David, when He returns.
