Daze Of Deception
Jesus warned that deception would grow worse as we draw nearer to the end times, saying, “Take heed that no one deceives you” (Matthew 24:4). Distinguishing truth from error has become increasingly challenging—even in the church. We live in a time when falsehoods assault us from every direction. Packaged with just enough truth to make them appear trustworthy, these counterfeits have grown more and more difficult to detect and avoid. Living in the Daze of Deception explores the many ways error is masquerading as truth—and you’ll learn how you can discern the difference.

Weʼre in a mini-series that focuses on the strong warning issued by the apostle John in the opening verses of chapter four. He writes in plain language, “be not deceived!” One way professing believers can be deceived is through signs and wonders, or, as it is put in certain texts, “lying signs and wonders.”

Today’s program focuses on the all-important warning the apostle John issues in the opening verses of chapter four of his first epistle. He writes in no uncertain terms, “be not deceived!” In other words, believers are urged here, and in other passages, to think critically. We must be on the lookout because, as the apostle himself puts it, “many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
