Knowing God, Part 2

November 18, 2013
Of all the New Testament authors, John, who had a profound comprehension of both the love and divinity of the Messiah, seems to be the one who pours his heart out the most to his readers; you can sense his passion as he writes-especially when he expresses first-hand eye-witness encounters with Jesus.
References: 1 John 1:1-4

Daze Of Deception
Jesus warned that deception would grow worse as we draw nearer to the end times, saying, “Take heed that no one deceives you” (Matthew 24:4). Distinguishing truth from error has become increasingly challenging—even in the church. We live in a time when falsehoods assault us from every direction. Packaged with just enough truth to make them appear trustworthy, these counterfeits have grown more and more difficult to detect and avoid. Living in the Daze of Deception explores the many ways error is masquerading as truth—and you’ll learn how you can discern the difference.

Little has changed for millennia!  Wars and conflicts have occurred in the Middle East since the days of old. And here we are in the twenty first century, and Israel and followers of her Messiah are still despised by the world. So much so that the Judeo-Christian faith and Godʼs written word are under attack like never before!  But Jesus said to the Father, “Your word is truth.” And it seems that the more attacks Scripture endures, the more it proves itself to be true!

Recent events in the region that surrounds Israel should come as no surprise to the student of biblical prophecy. Jesus Himself said that when these things occur, “Look up, for your Redemption is drawing near!”

Once we become “born from above” and our life is transformed, we begin to notice the various ways in which the Holy Spirit of God works in us. One of those ways is staying focused on His will and looking forward to eternity. In other words, as long as we have breath, we “keep our eyes fixed on the prize"
