Daze Of Deception
Jesus warned that deception would grow worse as we draw nearer to the end times, saying, “Take heed that no one deceives you” (Matthew 24:4). Distinguishing truth from error has become increasingly challenging—even in the church. We live in a time when falsehoods assault us from every direction. Packaged with just enough truth to make them appear trustworthy, these counterfeits have grown more and more difficult to detect and avoid. Living in the Daze of Deception explores the many ways error is masquerading as truth—and you’ll learn how you can discern the difference.

It’s Christmas, when God sent a miracle of love, hope and forgiveness.  So, why should we imagine a Christmas without Jesus when it goes against history, against the Bible, and against all reason and logic?  It’s simply not Christmas without Jesus.

Our prayers need to be full of expectancy and hope. It’s the life of our lungs. When we continually talk to the Lord, our requests will be Biblically based, and going public with His Gospel will be a heartfelt and joyful experience.

We’re not to just keep our head in the game, but we’re to keep our head up, and our mind in control. Well-grounded in our thinking, and not consumed by thoughts of ourselves. Through Christ a sound mind is possible, taking every thought captive in obedience to His will.

We need to let go of trying to control our lives, and just let God be God. As a believer, there’s the old you, whose past is over, and the new you. And, as a new creation in Christ our greatest passion is to do the will of God that He’s revealed to us in the Bible.

We’re to die to our sinful ways, and walk in the newness of life that Christ died for. Our old self was crucified with Christ, and we can now walk in the victory that Christ gave us over the power of sin.

We’re to stop looking back, and make a clean break from our former life. This comes by yielding to the power of God, and living through the power of the Holy Spirit. Attacks and temptations will come, but through Jesus Christ, we have the victory.

We tend to have a pampered view of life, and that suffering is a bad thing. But, suffering is a part of life in this fallen world, and there’s nothing greater for us than to be like Jesus, even in His sufferings.

In today’s world, people want a gentle Jesus. But, suffering the will of God means that Jesus had to literally rescue us from the flames of judgement. Jesus suffered and died a horrible death to save us, and armed with His truth, He set us free from the power of sin.
