The Bible says God is holy, sinless and perfect. With that being true, then it must be true about Jesus. But, God’s holiness requires judgment against sin. It’s why sin must be purged by God’s perfection before we can experience His forgiveness from sin.

Today, Pastor Jack tells us that we cannot save ourselves. Only God can save us from our sins. His very nature is love, and our hope in Him will not disappoint us, nor will the Holy Spirit He has given us.

When we live a life for God, we are accepting His forgiveness and grace. To hand over our sins to Jesus is to invite Him into our lives. To break away from our own selfish desires is to embrace the new life He wants to give us.

When Jesus calls, we are to listen, and obey. To do what Jesus asks us to do may be a challenge, even uncomfortable, but we’ll be blessed when we obey. Awareness of our stubborn will is the first step towards salvation, even Heaven itself.

Today, Pastor Jack tells us that from the vantage point of the boat, Jesus could be seen and heard more clearly. The connection now became more personal, and the crowd could experience more of Him. Whether privately or publicly, Jesus wants us to know His very being, His plan, and His desires.

Jesus gives us the real reason for life and living. He exposes the darkness simply through the testimony of who He is. If we were to remove Jesus from our lives, we would have nothing left but emptiness and confusion.
