On today’s program, Pastor Jack describes Daniel’s prophetic dream, from the Book of Daniel regarding Babylon. Isaiah was also shown Babylon’s future, when Babylon was just a small village. But, when Babylon defeats Israel, God is going to step back into the picture with His eternal plan for this great empire.

Many great empires have come and gone, but God has set aside Israel above all other nations. They are His chosen people, and His promise to them was that Israel is forever. That doesn’t mean God did not discipline them. But, ultimately He will punish those governments who stand against them.

The same God of the Bible, is the one who holds the future. God can add or take away the borders of nations, like He did with Babylon. God, through Isaiah, shows us Babylon’s future. Over 100 years before it becomes the world’s first great empire, Isaiah speaks of its destruction.

The Lord loves His creation. He wants us to worship Him, not because we have to, but because we have a real relationship with Him. Worshiping prepares us for eternity. Thanking Him keeps us grateful. Our Savior, the Holy One of Israel is always by our side.

Those who involve themselves with other Gods, or have Idols in their lives, never know where they stand. But, those who know the one true God, know Him by His name, and know exactly how the Lord feels about them. He is the Holy One of Israel, who we get to call our Father.

We’ve all offended the Lord. Still, He doesn’t condemn us, or send us away in anger. God’s desire is for our soul to be at rest, while He comforts us with His compassion. God is our Savior. There’s no need to be afraid. He is our joy, and our strength in time of need.

In the Second Coming, Jesus will sit on the throne, and gather those nations who have survived the Tribulation Period. The righteous nations will enter into eternal life, while the ungodly ones will go into everlasting punishment.

In the Second Coming, Jesus will speak the Word of God like a sharp two-edged sword. He will also make war on those nations who come against Him, and judge them for their ungodly deeds. God has to do this to prepare the earth for His reign.

When Christ first came to earth, Israel rejected Him, which is why the Gospel went out to the rest of the world. In the Second Coming of Jesus, He will keep His promise to Israel and rule from Jerusalem, where He gathers His people back to Him.

When Jesus returns, He will rule with an “all-knowing” knowledge. There were times in His first ministry on earth, when Jesus elected not to know certain things. This was to give us a better example of how to trust in the Father with fear, or having a sense of awe and reverence towards Him.

When Jesus returns, He will counsel with complete authority. It’s only His guidance that we can put our trust in, and not have to lean on our own understanding. Jesus will lead us with His power to defeat our enemies, and the enemies of Israel.
