The most hated, persecuted, and most conquered group of people on the earth are the Jews. But, God and His mercy is compassionate towards Israel, and will not forget her. And, the Lord has chosen Jerusalem as the place where He will sit on the throne of David, when He returns.

We are at the end of the Church Age. And the next biblical church related event will be the rapture of the church. After that comes the 7-year tribulation period, and then the Second Coming of Christ takes place. Once Jesus returns, He will establish His throne in Jerusalem and His millennial, or 1,000 year reign will begin on the earth.

After Christ’s return to the earth, He will administer His form of vengeance, and we will rule and reign with Him for a thousand years, under His form of justice. And, the Lord will teach us His ways, and we will walk in His light, and His law will come out of Jerusalem, and there will no longer be any wars between the nations.

Once again, God visits Isaiah, but this time it’s about the coming of God’s government. The Lord starts by showing Isaiah how man’s form of government will completely fail. He then shares with Isaiah the coming Tribulation Period, and finally, God reveals the Second coming of the physical return of Jesus Christ, who will then establish His form of government on the earth.

Isaiah warns Israel and Judah to wash and clean themselves, and to stop doing evil. And, if they’re willing to learn to do good, and seek justice, they will prosper. But, if they won’t listen, disaster will fall on them, and they will be killed by the sword of their enemies.

The word argument means to give a case for, and God is trying to get both Israel and Judah to listen to Isaiah. The people have lost their care and compassion towards God, and are turning more towards their own pleasures and desires. But, God wants their hearts, not just their religious sacrifices.

Human history has recorded the rise and fall of all the nations that have existed on the earth. And, the Book of Isaiah is even more prevalent today, as it was almost 3,000 years ago. Isaiah warns us that if we turn our backs on the Lord, the time will come for our own decline and collapse.

Sin and rebellion can happen very slowly. And, before you realize it, you’re only living off past spiritual experiences. The people of Israel and Judah were living like this, so Isaiah warns them of coming disaster, and how it’s God’s grace that keeps them from total annihilation.

And, when good king Uzziah died, Isaiah receives a vision from God about his calling. To tell God’s people to listen, and to turn from their rebellion.

The Book of Isaiah is like a mini Bible. The Bible has 66 Books, Isaiah has 66 Chapters, divided into 2 sections like the New and Old Testaments. Many scholars believe that it is too detailed to have been written at that time. They argue that over 25 times Isaiah calls God, “The Holy One of Israel, your Savior” detailing Jesus as the Messiah.
