Jesus went to the cross for you and me because we are valuable to Him. It’s truly mind boggling that He loved us that much. Without praise, without conditions, and because He was God, Jesus endured the shame for us.

We need to be careful of what we’re being told, and consider the source. How can we know when the Holy Spirit is speaking? We’ll know because it will be in perfect harmony with the Word of God. It will also lift up the Lord Jesus Christ in our own Spirit, and in our own relationship with Him.

Our God takes great delight in talking with us. He wants to strengthen us when we are weary, and comfort us when we are hurting. Only God can bring true healing and deliverance, when we come to Him with our pain, our worries and our fears.

Jack Hibbs is the founder and senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in Southern California. Jack and his wife, Lisa, began Calvary Chapel Chino Hills as a home Bible study fellowship/church plant from Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa in 1990.

Today, the church ministers weekly to over 14 thousand people on campus and to millions worldwide through the Real LIfe Television and Radio broadcast. Weekly, the Real Life broadcast can be heard on over 500 stations in the United States, including SiriusXM satellite radio.
