The day is coming when all of Israel will be saved. They will finally see the love and compassion God has towards them. But, whether we are Jew, or Gentile, we all have to accept Christ as Savior. That’s why it’s so important that we share His Gospel message of salvation with others.

Jesus first came as suffering servant, but when He returns, He will come as the conquering King. Israel, however, rejected the scriptures of the prophets refusing to believe that Christ is the Savior of the world.

The Servant Messiah, Jesus Christ, did not fail in His mission when the Jews rejected His salvation. Now all can receive the promise of eternal life. Even kings and princes will come to worship Him in the end.

When Jesus came to His own people, they despised and rejected Him, refusing to listen to His message of salvation. This filled Him with sorrow, yet it made the way for the rest of us to receive His Gospel of grace.

From this chapter on through chapter 53, God begins to reveal to us that the servant messiah is none other than Jesus Christ. He first came to earth as a servant king to do God’s will. He did not come as the political deliverer that the Jews had been waiting for.

Jack Hibbs is the founder and senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in Southern California. Jack and his wife, Lisa, began Calvary Chapel Chino Hills as a home Bible study fellowship/church plant from Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa in 1990.
