Being a Christian in Your Relationships - A

May 28, 2020

To have a Godly relationship with a possible wife or husband, we are to go deeper than what we can see on the outside. Appearances aren’t everything, so as we begin to date, we need to see if they love God more, and are their lives anchored in the Lord. Love is not a feeling, but a willful deliberate decision to commit, and respect them above all others.

Daze Of Deception
Jesus warned that deception would grow worse as we draw nearer to the end times, saying, “Take heed that no one deceives you” (Matthew 24:4). Distinguishing truth from error has become increasingly challenging—even in the church. We live in a time when falsehoods assault us from every direction. Packaged with just enough truth to make them appear trustworthy, these counterfeits have grown more and more difficult to detect and avoid. Living in the Daze of Deception explores the many ways error is masquerading as truth—and you’ll learn how you can discern the difference.

We are designed by God to be a team player. This includes our fellow co-workers, even the worst of them. Christianity happens when we create a space for peace, in the midst of opposition, and work together with common goals. It’s where the rubber meets the road when our faith is put to the test on the job.

God uses our bosses, even the worst ones, to mold and shape our character. God knows the bosses we have, and has us there for a reason. Christians are to pray for their bosses, especially if they’re difficult to work under. In serving our bosses, we are serving the Lord.

It’s important that a Christian leads by example in the workforce, and has a strong Biblical work ethic. Today’s modern culture has lost this. But, in serving our bosses, we are serving the Lord. Christianity happens when we create a space of peace, while working together as a team. It’s in the middle of opposition where our faith is tested, especially on the job.

During these uncertain times, it seems as though the church is being stripped of its “essential” status. So how can we, as believers, honor the authorities God has put in place, while being obedient to our God-ordained role in the community?

Even though God created everything, He will not impose on us. Even though He wants to live in the heart of every person, He will not stay where He is not welcome. God lives where the poor believer’s heart struggles, and where the poor in spirit battles in his mind.

So today, in Isaiah Chapter 66, Pastor Jack shares how we’ve embarked on an incredible journey together. What we believe about God, creation, salvation, Hell, Satan, the Antichrist, the rapture, Israel, eternity, the Second Coming of Christ, the Millennium, and Heaven, are all doctrines that were revealed to us from the Book of Isaiah.

When sin came into the world, it threw everything off. But, when Christ returns to set up His kingdom here on earth, He will set things right. The lion will lie down with the lamb, and no one will hurt or destroy while He rules and reigns from His Holy Mountain.

Without God’s Word leading us, we will do the wrong thing, think the wrong thoughts, and will come to the wrong conclusions. But, the more we walk with God, the more we’ll walk in the newness of life, rightly knowing that our future belongs to Him.

When the Lord is not on our minds, our thoughts can go dark. We even go as far as to think we are holy, and pride takes over. But, there’s always hope. We can change our minds back towards God by renewing our personal commitment towards Him.
