You Are an Unfinished Project
Though we are not what we once were before we knew Christ, we are also not yet what we will be when we see Him face to face. In that day, we will be perfected!

Colin Smith: When we remodeled our bathroom, we were looking at bare studs and pipes, and there was a hole in the ceiling for a new light. The place was functional, but nothing was as it would be. We were looking at an unfinished project.
Now, God’s plan for redeeming the world is in process. It’s not yet complete, and our lives in this world often look like a jumbled mess. Nothing is as it one day will be. But Jesus says, “Let not your hearts be troubled.”
When you look in the mirror, you’re looking at an unfinished project. But don’t be discouraged. Christ will finish what he started, and when he appears, his work in you will be complete.

About Colin Smith
Born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, he trained at the London School of Theology where he earned the degrees of Bachelor of Theology and Master of Philosophy. Before coming to the States in 1996, Colin served as senior pastor of the Enfield Evangelical Free Church in London.
He is the author of several books including Momentum: Pursuing God’s Blessings through the Beatitudes; Heaven, How I Got Here: The Story of the Thief on the Cross; Jonah: Navigating a God-Centered Life; The One Year Unlocking the Bible Devotional; 10 Keys for Unlocking the Bible; The 10 Greatest Struggles of Your Life; as well as others. Colin and his wife Karen reside in Arlington Heights, Ill., and have two married sons and five granddaughters.
