The Will of God for Us Today
It's easy for us to think that our comfort is the thing that matters most. But God has not called us to a life of convenience; Christ died for us that we should no longer live for ourselves, but go out and do His will.
Guest (Male): Open the Bible with Colin Smith.
Colin Smith: The will of God for us today includes the great commandment: love the Lord with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself; and the great commission: go and make disciples of all nations. Now that takes courage. It takes courage to love those who hate you. It takes courage to go where Christ is not known and reclaim lives from the darkness. But that's what God has called us to do.
And the more God blesses you, the harder it is to live a courageous life. It's so easy to get the idea that our comfort is the thing that matters most, but God has not called us to a life of convenience. Christ died for us that we should no longer live for ourselves, and Christ sends us out as the means by which his will gets done in the world.
